750ml bottle. Cap over cork. Label has this bottled in '2/22'.
Purple grape colored body. Purple head, which is short lasting, but leaves a thin ring and some surface storm. Tiny lacing spots slide back down into the body.
Aroma is fragrant, big with raspberries. Also some cherries. Some leather and horse blanket funk. Oak and vanilla from the barrel.
Taste is tart, with a touch of berry fruit sweetness. The cherry flavor is on par with the raspberry. Non-sweet red wine-like. Funk of hay, leather, earth, and wood. Evident is the oak and vanilla from the barrel.
Tugging mouth feel. Drying finish. Scrubs the teeth. Quiet carbonation.
The funk is subservient to the dense cherry and raspberry flavors.

Bottled February, 2022 - consumed on August 27, 2022 - poured from a capped-and-corked 750mL bottle into a Duralex tumbler.

Cloudy Palatinate/Japanese Violet body with plum highlights. A furious fist of pink/purple foam dissipates rapidly. Very delicate lacing; no legs; poor retention.

Subtle bramble and red wine aroma - floral with dark fruit notes.

Deep layered jammy flavors of ripe berries and cherry dance back and forth with hints of wet hay, leather, and petrichor. Delicate vanilla and wood emerge in the finish along with a touch of loam. Bright acidity is just faintly vinuous at times, but the balance is always in favor of the intensity of the fruit. Low bitterness throughout. Gentle "wild" notes, and a touch of barrel character, but always in a supporting/background role.

Medium-light bodied, slightly fizzy, but not overly carbonated. Tart, but never puckering. ABV is present yet restrained.

Bursting with flavor, this is one of the best domestic versions of fruit lambic around, and another superior offering from de Garde.

Beer #10,000! I knew it would happen on our trip, but having it be an americanized lambic feels appropriate given my beer journey over these 10,000. It really does pour a beautiful purple with a lighter toned version for the foam head. Smell draws you in with tart cherry, jammy black and red raspberry, plum, black currant, excites with mild funk, floral yeast, mild apple cider vinegar, and vanillins, and with an oak and red vinous backing it rounds out beautifully. Taste follow suit, more tart and slightly acidic in delivery than the nose foretold. Add more black currant and reduce the vanillins and funk from the nose and you get the taste. Feel is tart, slightly acidic, tangy, dark in complexion with a fuller body.

750ml capped/corked bottle split between a pair of stemless, angular wineglasses. Bottled 3/21. The label says it's 6.5%.

Pours a dark purple with a flash of purple head that dissipates into a small ring. Smell is fairly strong tart and very strong berry aroma.

Taste is also very tart and very berry. A bit of a funky/oaky flavor, seems like all sweetness is gone.

Mouthfeel is light, smooth, soft. Overall, I'm impressed. This is really good.

Absolutely beautiful in appearance, a vibrant yet ominous dark blood red pour fills to damn near eggplant purple-black with a tall, airy foam head of pale yet burnt red hue.

The palate is surprisingly herbal and vinous of blackberry, while the dark cherry comes out more on the nose.

The lighter body is almost watery, yet not too sour, but also not funky, which is a shock for de Garde. If it wasn't so thinned out, this might be an all out stunner.

Poured a deep rich purple color with almost no translucence. The head is a reddish hue. Very beautiful beer. At the nose there is heavy cherries and raspberries. Very tart, jammy, and sweet. Very approachable! Like a New Glarus fruit beers that are heavily fruit forward. Flavors loaded with tart cherries and jammy raspberries. Slightly sweet with little acidity. Not overwhelmely sour; keeping this very palatable. Mouthfeel is very smooth, light bodied. Overall, easily the top five sours I have tasted. My preferences are cherry wilds rather than raspberries and this one does not disappoint.
