This one pours a mostly clear straw yellow color, with a small head, and a good bit of lacing.

This has such a unique and earthy funk to it, with nuttiness, oak, wet earth, white wine, grapes, musky funk, and citrus.

I don't believe I've ever had a beer with truffles in it. They clearly work well with this sort of beer. The funk here is incredibly complex and hard to describe. It's nutty and slightly sweet, very vinous, kind of leathery, wine-like - there's so much going on here. It's musky and dank - almost like an earthy mushroom, with a pleasant acidity to it.

This is light bodied, and feels effervescent, with a nice and slightly lingering sourness. It's quite drinkable.

This is one of the most unique beers I've had, and it's certainly near the top of the list for me from de Garde.

Clear straw appearance with slight white head that dedicates quickly. Aroma is definitely a sour fruit. Taste is also a tart sour extremely dry that is very pleasant.

The beer pours a Clear gold with a big frothy white head. It has high carbonation. The beer smells of apples, wet wool, musty funk, raisins, and dates. The beer is tart, with barnyard funk, apples, raisins, dates, and wet wool. The feel is light and crisp. An excellent wild ale from De Garde.

Slightly cloudy golden body. One finger white head, appropriate retention and lacing. Ripened cheese, a bit of lemon, light earth, a bit of black pepper, oak, touch of hay. Perhaps a bit more earthiness on the finish. Medium bodied, effervescent, slightly dry and earthy finish. I am not sure where the white truffles are, but the beer itself is very good.

I'd previously had the Noir version and was not a fan. Somehow this version was less intensely off-putting and funky to me, as it had a more measured funk, and a brighter spice. The truffle was less earthy, and as such room was left for some grapefruit tartness. It's still a fantastically funky beer, and you really have to be in the right mood to thoroughly enjoy this one.

Received this in a trade for JLindros house warming party.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear light honey hue with a big three finger white head that fades to leave a thin blanket and big lacing.

S - Aromas of tart lemons, excellent base beer with good musty basement notes. The mushroom notes are nice and funky. Excellent truffle notes.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, great acidic tart vinegar notes. The base beer is just wonderful. The musty barnyard notes are quite pleasant. Nice mushroom qualities, the truffle is subtle but still nicely done.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, good crispness.

O - Overall this was a rather great wild ale. The base beer was very well done and these truffles really pop. Excellent.

Taste again very lambic like but also nice earthy mushroom, earthy mushroom herbal thing, nice funky lambic acidic earthy cheesy funk, tart big lambic funk, little flemmy acidic finish

Mouth is med to lighter bod, flemmy acidity, tons of carbonation.

Overall very nice a bit better than noir, great base lambic, but a bit more earthy mushroom thing

No head. Golden yellow color.

Sour beer with a lot of acidity. Lemon and green apples. Some funk. Light vinegar. No idea where the truffles.

Light bodied. Nice carbonation.

I thought this was a great sour. Just not sure where the mushrooms are at.

I was kind of concerned when i first heard about this, but the truffle is so subtle yet apparent in both nose and taste. I wish i could get 100 more of these. Definitely my new favorite DeGarde product. Nice and tart followed by a nice earthy taste in the back. seek this out immediately. also really hope they continue to brew this.

Amazing! Best "THE" beer I've had from de Garde since The Broken Truck. This could very well knock Broken Truck off its throne as de Gardes best beer.

400 bottle release 1 per person limit.

Slightly garlicky with a deep musky aroma

Extremely earthy pungent and deliciously funky

Perfectly balanced between the typical dG ale flavors and the nuances of the white truffle...like amazing earthy funky champagne it will not disappoint, may not be my favorite dG but I think it tops BT and BT2...
