Poured a hazy yellow color with white head on top. The smell had a good amount of funk on it. The taste was spicy with a bit more funky tartness going on. The feel was light bodied and dry. Overall it's a very good Saison!

750ml bottle poured into a snifter

A- pours a murky golden color with a one-finger foamy white head that has great retention and leaves some good lacing

S- gin dominates the aroma, tons of juniper berries, lemon pledge, spicy yeast, earthy brett, woody tannins

T- as with aroma, gin dominates the flavor with plenty of juniper up front, followed by lemon meringue, subtle white wine, spicy and earthy yeast, light brett, woody dry finish with a linger of gin

M- medium body with moderate carbonation leads to a bubble carbonation and a crisp spritzy finish

O- I'm not a gin drinker, but this was delicious. So refreshing with just enough tartness throughout, very well done

On tap at CBC 2016, day 2. Pale yellow, hazy, with a white head. Farmhouse funk, honey, floral hops, some spices and low tart.

L -- Pours a very slightly hazy orange body with absolutely no head produced, even with a well-aerated pour. Looks like cider. This is probably due to age
S -- Nice, complex combo of funk, juniper, oak, berries, floral, bubblegum, and melon
T -- Fairly tart, but not overpoweringly so, upfront. This is quickly followed by more complex saison-like fruity yeast flavors and a barnyard funkiness. Getting hints of both gin and vermouth barrel, which makes for a very nuanced palate. Also getting all the standard wild ale fruitiness: tart cherry, cranberry, apple, etc
F -- Pretty slippery and cider like, I think again because of the year and a half of age on this bottle. No bitterness or lingering aftertaste. Minimal carb
O -- Tried this with four of my roommates and we all agreed that this is a very unique, special beer. Not something to drink every day, but not simply a 'novelty' either. I wish there were more breweries in the northeast taking the creative risks that DeGarde does....

Pours a beautiful golden yellow with a very sizable white head made of fairly large bubbles. The head dissipates rather quickly and streams of tiny bubbles make this beer look like a champagne. Aromas and flavors are super complex yet totally perfectly balanced: there's lemon and lime citrus notes, white wine grapes and oaky wine qualities, even some floral and herbal vermouth qualities. Slightly tart. Just delicious.
