A wild red ale, spontaneously inoculated in our coolship before fermentation and extended aging in oak. At maturity, this was transferred to secondary oak tank for refermentation with a variety of whole, locally grown Blackberries. It shows a vibrant maroon color and pink head with an amber tint, with characterful fruit notes leading into a Brett dominated, wood aged red finish.

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 1 pint 9.4 fl oz bottle on June 15, 2018. A wild red ale brewed with boysenberries and blackberries. Highly recommended.

Received in a trade and shared with JLindros.
A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown almost garnet with a thin off white head that fades to leave light lacing and wisps.
S - Aromas of buttery oak, tannic seed, red berries, light tartness, juicy fruit, light plastic.
T - Taste is similar to the nose, very floral fruity, nice jammy notes, good light tart seedy berries, good oaky barrel notes. Nice lightly sweet fruits. Very tart finish.
M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, medium body, flemmy.
O - Overall this was a rather tart wild ale. Really berry forward along with nice oak. Not a huge fan of the nose.

Big fizzy purple head fades quickly, little lacing, dark brown purple ish rosy color
Nose big fruity tart notes, big berry, typical de garde like yeast thing, big boisonberry pie, vanilla cake batter, little buttery oak, lots of berry seed
Taste brings tart berry, big blackberry and boisonberry, seed, tart acidic funk, big acetic acid, buttery oak and vanilla cake batter base malt, tannic berry wine, dry flemmy thing, lingering acidity
Mouth is med bod, tons of fluffy carb over carbonated too,
