750ml bottle at the brewery poured into a lambic glass.

Look - Pale gold.
Nose - Cheesy truffle funk. Super interesting and unique.
Taste - SO MUCH TRUFFLE FUNK!! Mild acidity. Absolutely amazing!
Mouthfeel - This is where the beer really shines! Creamy, pillowy body with a high level of carb. A total mindfuck! Amazing!!
Overall - Top 3 deGarde beers for me! Highly recommended!

The appearance is really sandy, creamy tan yellow with a thin white fuzzy collar.

Smell is very barnyard-esque of super earthy funk--drinking this outdoors within the pastoral setting here at de Garde is only helping to amplify this, and it doesn't let up from there, as it develops some stinky cheese as it warms. There are also notes of oak and sticky peach on the rim.

Taste is funky, earthy mushroom cut by lemon-lime and grass, with a thin, watery feel and light bubbly carbonation, finishing semi-dry and acidic.

Picked up a bottle of this and the regular Truffle for JLindros house warming.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear golden hue with a massive three finger head that fades to leave sticky lacing and a creamy blanket.

S - Aromas of dirty, musty basement. Very funky mushroom. Smells like a Belgian. Really earthy with good acid. Very nice.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, very acidic and tart. Great funk and mineral notes, light mushroom qualities. The truffle notes are subtle but there. The base beer is incredible.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, perhaps a bit on the high side, still it is really nice for the style.

O - Overall this was a very good wild ale. The musty mushroom notes are very solid. Really nice!
