Thanks, Sam and Brian! June 2018 batch.

A clear deep maroon red with a large light pink head with good retention and no lacing, this looks solid. The nose is a riot of red raspberries and sour cherries. Bright, fresh, fragrant, jammy and with no raspberry seed tannins or an excessive sour cherry skin tannin note, this is excellent. The base beer with notes of lemon and a little bit of barnyard is also noticeable. This beer is all about the fruit, though. The palate opens sour with a large lactic and mildly lemony sourness that opens up the tastebuds for the raspberry and sour cherry flavors. The earthy notes that i typically associate with black raspberries are present as well. A clear and brilliant sour cherry note is present. I can't stress how excellent the fruit expression is here. Tannins are reserved, which is shocking given the sheer quantity of fruit present. A little vanilla is noticeable. Sour and lemony on the finish, with the sourness of raspberries and sour cherries piling on, this beer is light in body and highly carbonated. Funk is minimal here. The high sourness does inhibit drinkability just a little.

Look: The beer pours an opaque, hazy, raspberry red with next to no head. It likes beautiful in the glass but I would have preferred to see some head retention.

Smell: Despite the lack of head to help aromatics, this beer has a wonderful bouquet. It has the nose of a fine pinot. Earthy, cherry notes, with some light raspberry and lemon citrus, berry, and a hint of oak and chocolate.

Taste: BAM! That's tart. This wild ale packs a punch. And not like a commercial sour that's been designed that way with cultured yeast and artificial flavoring either. This beer, while tart, is so with balance. It doesn't taste over the top in any one flavor. The raspberry and cherry are definitely there at the beginning but it finishes like a Syrah with balanced oak tannins, dark fruit and a hint of black and white pepper.

Mouthfeel: This beer has a full body and smooth Mouthfeel that compliments the flavor profile. The carbonation adds a little tingle but no where near the overwhelming levels that a lot of sours can have.

Overall: This beer is amazing and I wish I had more of it. I would recommend it to anyone especially if you have a friend that's a wine lover. It's a great transition beer. I docked it a bit for the lack of head but other than that, this beer is perfect.

Probably could rate it higher on smell but my sinuses are terrible right now.
