Brewed with German malts and hops in the classic Märzen style. This malt-forward lager will give you exactly what you need as the fall weather sets in.

Pours a half inch off white head on top of a clear dark amber beer. To me, a nice mix of malts and hops. Extremely easy to drink. Smooth with a clean feel.

Odd one for the style. Drinkable and enjoyable beer, but strangely both sweet AND slightly over-hopped at the same time. A slightly more pronounced roasted malt character presents as well. Decent but a tad rough around the edges when mixed in with world class stuff.

This beer is interesting. There's a kind of malty ale character about it. Like those copper ales or rustic ales and the rest. You see those all the times and they're some variation of a lightly hopped, malty, easy drinking amber. This feels like that. Visually, it's really pretty. The nose isn't anything particularly special, just your standard vienna characters - bready malts, some sweet sugar, molasses, maybe a little piney bitterness (???).
Overall it's good. I enjoy the finish which is so sticky, and heavy. There's a huge sticky swath in the middle of it that just runs and runs like caramel or malt sugar in like cask strength bourbon. You almost can't believe it's an adult beverage. I really like this though, I'm just a little surprised by it given it reads "classic German marzen".

Poured from a 16 oz can purchased from the Dorset store; no birth day. Pours pumpkin orange with very little to no head. Tastes of slightly sweet bread with an astringent like backing. Okay.

Shared a 16oz can today with Alewife during a side-by-side Oktoberfest tasting...
Was a medium copper color, with a slight bit of haze. Minimal carbo, with a thin, off-white head. Was creamy but short, with light lacing. Aroma was mild, with to-style toasty malts and dark bread. Has a medium body with a fair amount of smoothness.
Flavor had nice malts, with more toast, some biscuit and subtle caramel. Very smooth and easy drinking, with a hint of spicy hops in the finish. Decent. Prosit!!

A: The beer is slightly hazy coppery amber in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a short off white head that quickly died down and left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of toasted and caramel malts are present in the nose.
T: The taste is a little sweet and has flavors of toasted malts with notes of caramel malts and hints of spicy hops. Only a slight amount of bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied, clean, and a little smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is a little maltier and sweeter compared to other beers in the style but goes down very easily.

A: Approachable shade of amber with a tinge of carroty-orange. Head was an off-white, foamy, fizzy. I echo the flatness of the head, but I believe the color to be inoffensive and not quite that hazy.
S: More toffee/biscuity treacle than a caramel. Rising along is the faint scent of mulled cider warming in the kitchen. e
M: Feel is heavy and thick for style. Low carbonation, no dryness, crispness with poorish drinkability.
T: Biscuit with moderate toast although the malt flavor is very fleeting. Very herbal with bitter red currant, honey-citrus, icewine.

A strong pour from a 16-oz. can into a dimpled mug produced a finger of soapy off-white foam with short retention and no lacing. Hazy (can't read large print) reddish amber color, orange amber in front of bright light.
Faint smell of toasted wheat bread and dough greets the nose with spicy hops in the background.
Semi-sweet with average bitterness, toasted and caramel malt battle to a tie for the lead of the taste. The hops are now spicy and herbal. Apple and slightly sour grape add a tang to the middle as bitterness rises to above average. Low carbonation causes the finish to be drawn out as flavors diminish, the aftertaste is spicy with a moderate astringency.
Medium-light body, carbonation is low but not flat. A little light on flavor overall but, what is there is on point.
German hops and malts are used a little to sparingly. Well balanced and session-able, alcohol is well hidden.
The label states "Classic German-Style Marzen", up the CO2 a little and it's in there. BB 02/28/21.

From a 16 oz. can dated 02/28/21. Sampled Sept 11, 2020.
Attractive looking amber-brown pour with a quick lasting off-white head.
The aroma emits caramel malt, tasted malt, sweet, and light floral characteristics.
The body is light to medium.
The taste is sweet and malty to start but I also get a soapy sort of character that is unappealing. Otherwise clean finish.

It looks ok, if a little to amber. The head dies down quickly like it is flat. And guess what? It almost is.
Cardboard and apple skin aroma.
Very light malts despite the color. Green apples, more cardboard.
Light body with light carbonation. Slick mouthfeel and a not at all dry mouthfeel.
Zero stars. Stay away.

Cloudy, dark amber-copper. Soapy, short lived head. It smells weird. Tastes weirder. Feels just as weird as the rest of the weirdness. Not a good beer. O dumped at least half of it.
