16 oz can 8/16/18 from a recent Vermont trip poured into a tulip glass. A hazy almost murky orange with yellow highlights, a one and a half finger head that hangs around for a little while. The smell is dank/vegetal, some sea salt, and tropical fruit and citrus notes (pineapple and mango). The taste is more zesty and vegetal, with some grapefruit notes mixed in with much lighter pineapple/mango flavors. The feel is a little above medium, somewhat full, with a medium low level of carbonation. Seems soft at times in the typical NE IPA style, but the bitterness gives it an edge. Overall, a flavorful IIPA. 5 weeks in this seems to still be in stride.

One of my favorites in VT. This is the beer that got me into loving Double IPAs, I was very excited when they began canning. Definitely one of those beers that takes you down memory lane. Big and juicy citrus hops.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Hazy golden copper pour with 2 fingers of foamy white head. Great lacing. Minimal sediment.

S: Tropical and fruity.. NEIPA for sure. Citrus juice.

T/F: Light grains with a dank juicy hop profile. Loads of citrus/grapefruit. Mild tropicals... mango and guava. Medium bodied. Great carbonation and sticky on the tongue.

O: A fantastic DIPA done New England style. Outstanding!

Poured into a 12 oz Nordic glass canned on 1/25/18. Pours a hazy orange yellow with a nice 2 plus finger head that leaves plenty of thick patches of lace behind.

Smell guava, apricot, weed, hard candy, tangerine, and grapefruit.

Taste follows tropical upfront with some hard candy and grapefruit in the balanced slightly bitter finish.

Mouthfeel is bigger than average, enough life with a rather soft amount of life, a tad dry, and drinks very easy at 8% ABV.

Overall this is a very nice NEDIPA, would love to get this one again.

Extremely tasty and smooth. I really like their Tribute 2x. I like this even better.

16 oz can into tulip, Date 9/24/18.
Look is nice cloudy golden yellow with little orange tint. Nose is light tropical fruit. Taste is citrus orange with a little bite at end. Feel is medium and creamy. Overall, a nice DIPA that hides alcohol well. Not sure it resonates with me.. More orange in taste. I like some of their other beers better. But worth a try and I would not turn down.

Canned on 6/28/18

Pours a hazy burnt orange with a 3/4 finger of semi-bubbly off-white head.

Aroma of juicy tangerine, orange, pineapple rind, light grass, and a clever backbone of thick cracker to round it out.

I'm getting a good bit of tropical notes and pine resin that are followed by a hefty but approachable caramel malt character; all elements are very balanced and interacting well with one another.

Mouthfeel is simply crisp and juicy. What it lacks in heft at times, it makes up for with an approachability and smoothness that rivals those in the upper tier of the style.

A very solid DIPA coming from 14th Star; I'll find this one especially memorable for its smooth hop-malt balance and pretty insane drinkability considering the style.
