Draft pint at Green Lady, quick review from notes.

Bright saturated orange gold color, with a long lasting head of parchment colored foam. Sudsy surface texture and lasting sticky lacing in the glass.

Mild aroma, light Belgian yeast, pepper and nondescript spice.

Taste is similarly mild, very simple with some yeast character driving it and basic 2-row or similar malt base. Single being the first rung on the Trappist ladder to Quad, I didn't expect a whole lot of complexity. Kind of light bodied, yeasty and somewhat crisp with a dry aftertaste. Simple beers have a time and place, this one seemed better suited with food, or to quench after a long bike ride. That said it's not something i'll seek out, liked P-2 a little better.

Grabbed a growler from the brewery on 4/15/2014.

Appearance: Nice yellow, and a big head even after a day of drinking form the growler. A bit hazy.

Smell: Spicy yeast flavor. A bit of lemon or orange (not hop orange but citric orange). I smell raw dough as well.

Taste: Cracker dough or pasta dough right off the bat. Open withs the malty dough and ends with the malty dough. I love this flavor. Slightly acidic on the tongue, like a bit of tonic water, but not too much. Still a bit of spice but not as much as the nose. Clean clean clean and lifts off your pallet right away. Very refreshing.

Mouthfeel: Light and dry. This is quaffable. So good. It's thin, but in a light think kind of way. Very good aspect of the beer.

Overall: Drinkable, cracker, spicy, and just delicious. Wonderful mouthfeel, wonderful taste, and well crafted. Good stuff. Plus the staff was awesome as I was the only person in the bar and they were just fine chatting for 20 minutes before I left.
