Style: Belgian Strong Dark Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 9.40%

Availability: Limited (brewed once)

With highlights of dark chocolate, vanilla beans and dark fruits, cacao nibs from Graham’s chocolate and toffee flavors round out the body revealing a mildly dry, roasted body. As the beer warms, the finish evolves into spice with levels of cinnamon and star anise.

L - dark brown/near black with a stout tan head that very slowly fades into a thick foam atop the ale
S - chocolate, earth, roasted barley, caramel, fruit, yeast
T - huge bittersweet chocolate and roasted barley notes with fruit, Belgian yeast, caramel, toffee, bread crust, earthy hops; booze is more apparent as it warms
F - very creamy and smooth, medium-full bodied, finishes with lingering bitter roast/bitter chocolate
O - everything I've had from this brewery is good so far. No complaints with this one. Bold flavors, yet very approachable. I'd drink it again any day.
