On-tap at The Norseman, Dublin, Ireland

A: The beer is crystal clear amber in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high off white head that died down and left a collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of sweet caramel malts are present in the nose.
T: Much like the smell, the overall taste is dominated by flavors of caramel malts and has hints of associated sweetness along with notes of mineral water towards the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer starts off with nice caramel malts in the smell and initial tasted but then seems to lose some of the maltiness due to the latter flavors of mineral water.

Had pint on draught in Lough Eske. First pint had a perfect head which lasted and left decent lacing on glass. Next two pints didn't have as good a head and suffered for it. Would like to taste this beer on cask if possible.
This is an amber/American ale in the spirit of Brewdog's 5am saint. The beer has nice biscuity, molasses malt flavour. It's sweet with a slightly bitter aftertaste and is quite well balanced. There are nice hop aromas. The alcohol is there but it's 4.5% and not over powering. The beer feels like it could take some more depth but all in all a very good beer which I would highly recommend and will certainly drink again. Good to see a County pushing their own locally produced (brewed in Ballyshannon I was told) beer and which sits well in the modern Irish beer revival which thankfully is seeing an end to the mass produced poor beers that had come to dominate. Well done Donegal Brewing Co.!

500ml bottle bought in Donegal, Ireland (€3.70):
Not a bad first beer from Donegal Brewing for me but it wasn't a great one either, there was a nice biscuit malts & caramel sweetness to the beer that provided a nice balance but it wasn't anything special or one that I think will prove to be a memorable offering.
