Thanks Chris for sharing this one!
Hazy gold, thin broken skim, spotty lace.
Yeasty aroma, vaguely herbaceous, not a substantial aroma.
Lightly tart, tangy and astringent, phenolic notes in the aftertaste.
Light to medium bodied, yeast forward.
Could use more complexity, no Galaxy comes through either.
Overall I was left wanting more.

Biggest disappointment of 2015 right here.
Look: Light straw color and extremely hazy with a big white head that sticks around
Smell: Slight brett, but other than that nothing
Taste: Taste of generic yeast, slight lemon flavors, but in all a complete let down.
Feel: Thin, high carbonation
Overall: extreme disappointment, can't say it enough.

750 ml bottle into a tulip glass.

Pours a hazy golden yellow, with a full two finger head on an average pour, lots of thick, foamy lacing. Smell leads with an aromatic Belgian yeast, light malt, a light wine aroma that kind of fades in and out, a little funk, a lightly floral aroma. Taste also leads with the yeast, some earthy hops, malt, spices, some lemon, light funk. A subtle bitterness at the finish. I did not get any noticeable sourness or tartness. Dry, smooth, solid body, well carbonated.

This was a really pleasant surprise. Based on other ratings, this was far better than expected. Maybe letting it age nine moths helped, but this was flavorful, fairly complex, and fun to drink. You could argue it's a Saison, but it's still good, and I suppose Wild can be in the eye of the beholder. Only negative was the high price point.

Deep hazy straw color with a towering, pillowy head upon pouring. Even after the head dissipates, it remains sturdy and leaves stubborn lacing along the walls of the glass.

The nose is subtly of over-ripe strawberries and sweet grain, alongside restrained wild funk.

Medium-light to medium bodied, the palate is vinous, showing raspberry jam, strawberry, earth, and hay. Honestly, jammy wine is its dominant flavor component, and if I were a betting man I'd guess the wine barrels used were either zinfandel or pinot noir from the fruity core and earthy-spicy background. The light acidity even mimics that of a well-balanced wine.

Ample carbonation keeps Corybantic from becoming tiresome to the tongue, but isn't so fine and persistent that it robs the drinker of the experience of its unique flavor profile.

The finish is dry, showing some orange-y citrus.

A number of people I know have described this beer as "meh." I disagree. It's subtle, but delicious. Too bad they aren't likely to make more of it because this could be a gateway beer for wine drinkers. Would buy again--if only that were possible.

This is not particularly tart or sour. If it was classed as a wild, you might not notice it. It comes across as a very mildly bretted but nice Belgian pale ale or dubbel.

Pours a hazy golden straw color with a two finger bright white, pillowy head.

Aroma is of light funk, light lacto character (lemon zest?), mineral water, lemongrass, slight peppery spice from the yeast.

Taste is of very light funk and lacto from the wine barrel-aged water. This brings like a light lemon zest, wet hay, and lemongrass flavor to the beer. Get some peppery spice from the yeast as well. Get some grassiness and herbal qualities. Not getting much Galaxy hops, but at only 20 ibus that is understandable. Extremely dry finish on the beer.

Medium body with a very zippy and lively carbonation. Clean drinking.

Overall, taking into consideration the pedigree of the breweries in this collab, I expected a ton more. Using wine barrel-aged water is an interesting idea; but judging on the results, this should of been inoculated with bacteria the usual way. The aromas and flavors are very subdued and make for a pretty uninteresting beer.
