Pours a bright, golden color. Brilliant clarity. Small, short-lived head. `Aroma is lemony funk. Taste is relatively understated. There's a solid amount of funk without being overwhelming. Tiny bit of lemongrass, but beyond the funk there's a unique taste that I don't think I've picked up before in a beer. Could it be the Koji? Maybe, but not sure. Bright, and lively. Interesting, enjoyable beer.

I'm speculating this copy is one of the few left in captivity as I got it in a Wild 4-pack from Off Color's taproom.
Great clarity for a Wild; a pretty pale, too. Smells are mostly fruit, tempered by earthy stuff. Fruity Tastes are balanced quickly by a timely tart. I can enjoy this Wild. Finishes semi-dry. Even though Wilds run on the flat side, this could use more bubbles or more youth. But as with 95% of Wilds, I wouldn't bring Cygnet to the table and glad I didn't.
I particularly find unique the mineral quality that I do not remember having in Off Color's Wilds; so it is fair to attribute this to Jester King's bacteria and role. OA this was a better experience for me than 2/3 of Wilds. But I probably still will not have Cygnet again... even if they brew it again. I am a very big fan of Off Color, I am less of a fan of Jester King; but I'm glad they got together to learn from this brew. But IMHO, JK has more to learn from OC than OC from JK.

Nice sour beer. Light funk in the nose, moderate sour, some grains noticed as well. Enjoyed.

Released 10/27/18; drank 12/6/18 @ the Yarchives.
See-through orange rust appearance.
A violent pour yielded a minimal white head; minimal lace.
Apple cider, lemon & faint oak notes in the nose.
Corn flakes, lemon & honeyed wheat flavors.
Medium thin mouthfeel.
The nose had promise, but what an odd, mildly unappealing flavor! Unique, to be sure, but not worth tracking down.

Bright orange, sharp clarity, a little bit of foam that fades to a thin ring.
Aroma has a dominant grainy popcorn kernel aroma and a tiny bit of oak.
Tart and lightly acidic, apple and a lingering odd grainy popcorn kernel note.
Light bodied and crisp, medium carb level. Overall it’s ok, kind of one note.
