We brew this beer with 100% applewood smoked wheat to drink during brew days. Small so we can drink all day, but alluring enough to hold our attention. The only problem is no one makes applewood smoked wheat malt so we have to smoke it ourselves...which lengthens our brew day...so we need more beer. It's a vicious cycle of spicy hops punctuating sweet, ephemeral applewood smoke. And if you don't want to drink it, fine. We'll drink it all ourselves.

8 ounce pour at brewery pale hazy/murky golden, scant dirty white head. Aroma immediately of smoke - campfire. Taste prominent smoky malt, some fruity notes with hints of lemon tartness and some piney hops. Well carbonated and exceptionally refreshing. Delicious - really liked this.

Poured a cloudy pale yellow body with decent head and lace. The aroma is light, airy, not really smoky but get some wheat/yeast twang. Smooth, light, crisp, do get a slightly smoky, meaty taste with apple-like sweetness and finishes a tad sweet; overall the balance is there and enjoyable.

Off Color never stops amazing me by their humor and talent and "Je nais se qua" (That's "indescribable quality" in French.)
With only three rated below the average, I've had 30 of their beers in two years. (Third is Anchor over 4 decades.)
So, I'm a fan.
I also seem to have gotten an old bottle (there were two reviews in 2016 and none since.)
Undeterred by age, I still loved 15 Feet.
It Looks like an average wheat beer. But even a short Sniff changes average to interesting with that smoked wheat stealing the show. Tastes give my tongue an equally interesting treat; except in mid-palate when a off-taste creeps in (let's call it aging wheat, but it probably also is smoking residue getting stronger with age.) My mouth gets plenty of scrubbing bubbles, so I thought "what food in the fridge would make a good pairing?" Answer: a salsa with roasted tomatoes, an amazing complement.
Have this again? You bet. Key question is: will they make it again?

Unknown vintage; drank 10/17/15 @ the Yarchives.
Poured from the bottle into a glass.
Semi-opaque pale yellow appearance.
Nice bright white head; strong lace.
Smoked bacon & sweet apple notes in the nose.
Thin mouthfeel.
Smoke, bacon & sweet apple flavors up front; pepper bite on the finish. Interesting, but the smoke really dominates this.
