Wicks Brewing has both the brewery and tap room in an industrial part of Riverside. From the outside, it's just rows of corporate businesses, but once you enter it's a really nice space. Lots of space for people to gather. You can get a peek into the brewing area in the back.

I sat at the bar which was tucked in the corner. They had some monitors on the wall. They had their own beers, about 5 and about the same number of guest beers. Since this was my first time here, I ordered a taster of all their beers. They ranged from good to solid. I liked their house root beer a lot.

I had some pretzel bites with aioli which was really good.

My server was nice, friendly and attentive. Nice visit.

Wicks is a great brewery in Riverside. Tucked away near La Sierra University, it has a nice large area with plenty of seating. It's definitely family friendly. I have been there a few times, and they always have a good selection of their own beer and at least a few from other local breweries. For example, they recently had W00tStout on tap. Before that they had barrel-aged Speedway. Vibe is pretty good. Service is fine. Haven't tried the food. Overall, definitely recommended.

This place is so close to where I live and a nice eating alternative to other options in the area . Roomy eating area with a small(ish) bar. Appeared to be plenty of seating for an average day. We tried the beers that were on the tap list that night ( at least the ones that were still available). All good beers in their own right. I liked their Imperial IPA (Hellified), which was pretty tasty and an IPA called Shooting Blancs, which was special on tap. Very drinkable with a white wine note I wasn't expecting (a good thing). It was a good match beer to the pulled pork sandwich I ordered. We thought the prices were reasonable, food was good (and a little above the standard pub fare) and our server couldn't have been more attentive. We'll be back often.

Wicks is perhaps a bit under rated in the Southern California beer scene. Nothing crazy offered but what is produced is high quality, well made, true to style, distinctive and all with saturated flavor profiles. Brad Wicks and his head brewer, Herbie, are really doing nice work and it would (and will be??) interesting to see what they can do if they start to spread their wings into wild ales, sours or a barrel age program. While those may be in the works, everything Wicks makes is very pleasant and drinkable.

Originally I thought this Micro would be difficult to find, but its not, right off the 91 and Magnolia Ave. Its sort of big inside lot of tables and a bar. I was there on a Sat. afternoon and it was totally full so I had to stand at the bar.I guess recently thay went to 7 days a week and now have a food menu. I tried the West Coast Strong and it was good but thats it and a sample of their Red Barn Ale which was better. Usually I end a review of a new place with I wish them luck, but from what I saw they are all set!!

I recently stopped in at Wicks since I was in the area on business. It's a fairly large spot with a brewery restaurant type vibe. There are tables for seating and also seating at the bar. I sat at the bar and tried all 5 of the Wicks beers they had on tap. They also had about 5 other guest beers and a few craft sodas that they make. The beer was served at a good temperature and in proper glassware. Service was decent but the bartender tended to disappear for stretches at a time. They offer tasters, full pours, and growlers of their beers. Prices were reasonable with tasters being $2 each and full pours around $5 to $7. Overall, this is a pretty nice spot and I would make my back in the future if I was in the area.

"Now Open" hints that this operation is very young. Despite being located at the dead end of an industrial complex, Wicks has done well to transform the interior from looking drab into a beautiful place to drink at. Several people were drinking inside when I arrive before 4pm on a Monday, and a few more people filled the place when I left.

11 beers pouring from the tap, including 5 house beers. The house beers included Floral Orange, West Coast Strong, Imperial Porter, Raisin Hell, and Hazel Not Brown. I tried three of the beer, with quality ranging from solid to good. In addition to the house beer, 6 guest beers flowed from the tap (Eel River, AleSmith, Coronado, Avery, Port, Oskar Blues). All pours cost $5, though each beer's volume varies (8 oz, 12 oz, 16 oz).

One of many new places in the area to drink craft beer, and Wicks is worth the visit.
