Style: Saison / Farmhouse Ale

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 5.00%

Availability: Rotating

Notes / Commercial Description:
With the help of Hunton Farms and Camas Country Mill, we sourced organic triticale, a hybrid of wheat and rye, to prominate the malt profile of our featured summer release. Leaving hops behind on this one, we infused wild harvested spruce tips, fresh flowering yarrow and river sage tips from our farm. This herb combination lends a bright citrus essence, fresh floral notes, and really brings out the sweetness of the triticale...true summer refreshment.

On draught at The Bier Stein, appearence is a hazly pale gold with a small white collar leaving no lace.

Smell is earthy and herbal, some very faint sweetness, the fruity esters open with time/warmth.

Taste is estery, herbal but not overly so, which I feared as it's billed as "an herbal saison."
It's really more of a heavy accent, sage I assume.

Mouthfeel is light and dry, fully carbonated.

Drinkability is solid, a nice gruit / farmhouse. Digging it, went down easily and enjoyably.
