This beer is the quintessential saison and dry. It has an herbal that is flowery and earthy and airy . It's so gentle and comes in a most imposing can with a very imposing theme except for the orange flowers. ( I wear glasses) It is also abundantly fruity . Green apple, cranberry and lemon on a honey drizzled wheat cracker. Generous although soft spoken with spice. The herbs do the bittering and leave behind a wonderful earthy mouthfeel that perfectly compliments the dry finish.

i am definitely surprised to not see this beer rated more highly. not only is it super unique, but its also super good. a honey saison brewed with a bunch of different flowers, its another brilliant beer from these guys, who are fast becoming one of my favorite operations anywhere. this recent round of beers to show up in colorado have all been incredible. this has a cool color to it, something darker than gold but lighter than orange, bronze maybe, with a short but very dense and persistent white head, creamy and rich looking. it smells like raw honey, the waxy polleny earthiness of it as well as the anticipated sweetness, its as authentic a honey smell as i have known in any beer, and its very forward. the flowers are neat, they obviously accentuate the polleny springy blooming aspect of the honey, add a neat bitterness and a tea-like property thats interesting but well behind the honey. the flavor is a lot like the nose, but i am amazed how much honey flavor is here for how dry it is. its also gorgeous with the malt, wheat, something toasted, kiln dried sort of tasting, a little rich, but very dry, just a long flavor experience between the two. the yeast is clean for a saison, no funk or tang or anything, just a brisk tartness for a moment, but really unoffensive, and slightly floral in its own right, orchard fruit and slight white wine, also nice with the authentic raw honey. the flowers add a lot, but arent too much like i feared they would be, this is an amazingly flavorful beer overall even despite not having such a dynamic yeast profile, i loved it. i have been so high on the burial beers lately, and this among the best of them. one of the best expressions of honey i have ever found in a beer, no kidding. do not miss this one while it is around here in denver!

Review from BA Mag Issue #116 ( Sep 2016 )

Herbaceous, Floral, Unique, Tasty
Not your usual Saison, but well within the style’s boundaries, The Keeper’s Veil is brewed with 6-row malt, wheat, local honey, and seven different wild herbs and flowers. The crispness is there along with just enough dryness; both honey and botanicals make for a very pleasing palate. A bit rustic from the combination of barley and wheat, but fresh and grainy with a nice bite in the end. Although the chamomile and lemongrass are more noticeable, as is a quick kiss of hibiscus, all of the herbs and flowers add up to a very pleasant mix for the tastebuds. [Jason]

Tall can...3/18/17

Pours heavily hazed, dull looking lighter tangerine juice in color, slight light khaki cap

Floral nose with some lemon

More of the same on the palate here, lemons, flowers, herbal tea, ginger...brightly tasty... zesty and enjoyable saison, bring on some peppery salads and tangy goat cheese..well worth a try

Pours an absolutely gorgeous sunny golden orange yellow with a thin bubbly half finger of foam that dissipates to a thin plump ring. There is a noticeable amount of haze, but nothing unappealing, looks like a glass of fresh orange juice.

Very floral and herbal hop aromas, with a bit of tea-like aromas of hibiscus and chamomile, saison yeast lends a bit of fruitiness in the nose, and a slight sweetness dances in the background.

Everything characterized in the nose plays well into flavor, chamomile, hibiscus, floral hops, slight yeasty fruitiness, and a bit of yeasty spiciness.

Medium-bodied, low-medium carbonation, yeasty spiciness, mellow floral bitterness, and smooth as hell.

Overall, this is an absolutely gorgeous beer and the aroma and flavor also provide a tremendous amount of delicious drinkability. The best saison I've had to date. Very well done Burial Brewing Co!

Pours from the can a sparkling clear rosy orange with a foamy head that disappears almost instantly. Smells of fragrant flowers, spicy yeast, chamomile tea, earthy grass, and a hint of honey. The honey is more pronounced in the flavor lending a sweetness to the flowery hibiscus, cherry, and clove-like phenols. A little overly yeasty for my tastes, I'd prefer a little malt presence and less phenolic characteristics. Slick, medium bodied finishing decently dry. Burial's Belgian stuff hasn't really clicked with me yet.

Pale gold with a reddish tint. Smell is slightly funky with tons of flowers and a touch of honey. The taste is nice and sweet with a little banana clove flowers and honey. Not quite as tart as the smell would have me believe. This thing finishes nice and dry. This is s good beer.
