Dubbel aged in Malbec barrels. Hides its alcohol well, but still the tart sting of tannin/grapes upfront. Would have liked it to mellow as it warmed, but still had an edge.

Never been a big fan of Dubbels but this one really impressed. Lots of dark cherry, cranberry and maybe raspberry wine, I also got the flair of peppery Belgian yeast.
