16 oz can, dated 21Sept21, into THAT! NE IPA snifter.

Juicy medium yellow with a finger of stiff white head leaving slight lacing as it recedes slowly.

Aroma of grapefruit juice with emphasis on grapefruit peels, and a little bit of orange juice. Some pleasant herbal grass and sweet spruce are in the mix, too.

Flavor is actually somewhat absent. It's easy drinking but it lacks flavor. It starts with baking soda water, followed by mango and red grapefruit, then some lychee, a little bit of banana, more water, and then it fades off on sweet orange peel and light orange juice. Herbal bitterness tickles the tip of the tongue after the swallow.

Feel is soft and smooth, but has loads of alcohol heat. Carbonation is appropriate though busy, and it leaves a slightly starchy resiny juicy feel clinging to the cheeks. 7.5% is felt in its entirety.

Overall, five years ago this would have been one for the books. Nowadays though there are better juicers, and while I'm probably being a picky beer enthusiast, this one just doesn't stand out enough for me. It's like If you mixed a can of Drekker and Trillium together, which are flavorless and flavorful respectively. I've got other Burial beers to review, but this was the only IPA. It's a fair start. I will finish this can no problem, there are no flaws or oddities, I just wish it was amplified x3.

$4.99 a can, wouldn't buy again at that price.
