Appearance: Pours a relatively clear golden color with a one finger head; good retention and a few shards of lace linger
Smell: Tart and fruity, with passionfruit dominant; the guava is detectable, underneath; oaky, with a vinous element
Taste: The tartness hits the tongue at the outset and dominates from start to finish, with a vinous, white wine character building; hard to detect the guava, however, but the passionfruit adds bitterness, in the middle, but surrenders to the sour aspect through the finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; puckery
Overall: More like an American Wild than a Berliner, it would be nice to have a stronger fruit adjunct profile but this stands on its own as an AWA

2018 bottle from the downtown brewery location. The one without AC, but is more charming.
Duvel tulip. Cloudy, pineapple sort of color with a hint of activity.
Sour peach, sour pineapple, guava. Not incredibly potent, as you have to stick your nose in it a bit, but genuine.
Bracing peach & lemon upfront. Slick texture. Acetone. Lime juice. Gum. Sour passion fruit on the bitter, lightly herbal finish. Little urgency to refill my glass.
Okay flavors, just a bit too cringe-y of a sour, with not enough reward for the effort.
