Pours a deep tawny brown with a thinner light tan colored head atop.Caramel and brown sugar aromas with a light toasted bread note in there as well.A little sharp in the mouth, was hoping for more of a smoother feel. The feel detracts a little from the flavor profile, caramel and buttery toffee flavors with just a hint of earth/roast in the finish. Not bad but the feel kinda takes away from the beer for me.

12 oz bottle into a lager glass.

Pours with a dark mahogany body. The vigorous pour raised a large (bout 3 cm) light tan had that has very good retention and that leaves plenty of sticky lacing on the glass. High clarity for an "unfiltered" (label) brew.

Medium roasted grains with some hop aromas; enough hop aroma to seem more like an American than English brown ale.

The flavor is more malt forward, with hops contributing to a near equal bitter/sweet balance and adding some light herbal and spicy flavors.

Your standard brown ale. Not bad but nothing special.

I tried the high wire bed or nails at Capt'n Woodys on Hilton Head Island. It poured a clear mahogany with off white that is not leaving any lace. The scent had hints of sweet biscuit. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink.....slightly hoppy and tasty. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a mug at the Dockside in Beaufort, SC. The appearance is a dark brown color with a large tan head. The aroma is full of roasted malts and some hops. the taste is malt driven but has some hop bitterness.

Delightful ale, not dark brown but more amber or red ale colored, lightly hazy rather than clear, with a tan head. Not as "brown" as some brown ales. Nose with herbal and spicy malts dominating. Taste follows suit, with the right hops to complement the lean, earthy, slightly funky, but never flabby malty taste. Mouthfeel pleasant.

A good, solid brown beer, nothing special, but well done for the type.

12/30....pours a rich medium dark brown, good ring of white foam. Nutty caramel nose. Hazelnuts. Soft lightly carbonated sweet malty taste. Bready. A touch sweet. Smooth in the mouth, minimal bite.

Draft at Hi-wire. Dark tea brown pour, half finger of cream colored head. Laces just a bit.

Aroma, some brown sugar, toasted malt. Hazelnut.

Taste, some malty tobacco and brown sugar again. Some tea and herbal notes. Seemed a little sweet a first but seems more balanced after it warmed a bit. Lingers nicely.

Drinks very easily, carbonation and body are about right.
Good stuff, hopefully this place will last a bit longer than Craggie.
