I've only ever gone to Chan's when in Destin, but when we went to the surf shop in the same shopping center, I decided to pop in and check this place out...never really noticed it before.

It's nice and spacious, lots of room and no real crowded space. It's a nice looking place on the inside, despite the plain looking logo and exterior. Beer coolers line the back right wall, with doors in the middle leading to the beer cave...Largest in Florida, they claim. It's big for sure, but there's mostly BMC, and back stock of craft. The good stuff is in the coolers. Selection is really good...there's a lot of different things available. Apparently, they use a distributor that Chan's doesn't, so there's a lot of different things you can find there, as opposed to Chan's, so its worth a trip to both as to not miss out on anything. Sixpoint was a notable brand they had that I hadn't seen anywhere else. While out of commission at the time, they do have beer taps with rotating craft beers that are available for growlers to go. Don't bring glass growlers for fills...Florida requires plastic growlers. Price wise, some things seems pricy, some didn't. Overall though, not expensive. Staff was very friendly, willing to help in any way. There's a free craft beer tasting every Friday.

Overall, a nice place for beer, and paired with trips to Chan's, should allot you some nice hauls to bring back with you.

Overall: Beach Liquors is a top notch liquor store that boasts Florida's largest beer cave. On Fridays they hold a wine & beer tasting from 5-7 pm. Prices were competitive if not cheaper than some of the competition. They still felt a little steep, but then again it is a vacation town. If my travels ever take me through Destin , FL again, I will be sure to stop here at the beginning of my trip rather than on my last day as I did this stay.
Vibe: Beach/vacation liquor store that focuses on variety and quality spirits.
Quality: I have an issue rating quality as quality quantifies service and selection to me. Quality of what else?
Service: My interaction with the staff was limited, but the counter clerk was friendly and shared a short conversation.
Selection: The singles selection is clearly evident and is robust. There are other stores in the area that get more selection, but if you are looking for good beer, it can certainly be found here.

Stopped here after going by Chan's Wine World and so glad I did. The single selection here is great, way more than I have seen in any other store. They also had some beer that Chan's didn't so it worked out good. Price wise, they seem to be similar to Chan's but there is a little bit different selection. As mentioned above, the mix 6 selection is way better here, so if you are looking to try out a lot of beers, come by here and try them before you commit to a full six pack. Will go back next year when I am there, but probably go the first week, so I can plan a follow up trip before I come home :).

One of a very small chain in the area, Beach Liquors is definitely a spot to hit up for craft beer in the area. They have their coolers set up by beer style for making your own six pack, and the selection is extensive. You may not find any unicorns in here, but they always have a great selection. Their staff is knowledgeable and love to talk beer. There's a bar by their growler station that's a great spot to relax and enjoy a few beers without the loud hustle and bustle of your typical bar.

The best place in the area to buy domestic singles thanks to a massive cooler sorted by style and most available by the bottle. Don't forget to pop inside the cooler to find some surprises. Buy at least six to get the discount.

Solid bottle shop. There are quite a few places to buy Jai Alai around town, but this and Chan's are the 2 best I came across. This place has Thurs. night beer and wine tastings. They also have about a half dozen beer on tap. It is a little more laid back (less pretentious if you will, though the other place didn't seem that bad) atmosphere. The only thing I will give them the edge on over Chan's is the single selection. Night and day better, and it is all in coolers. You cant go wrong either place.

"Don't bring glass growlers for fills...Florida requires plastic growlers."

FALSE.

Florida allows glass growlers. In fact, every microbrewery I have bought from in FL only sells glass bombers and growlers, plastic is nowhere to be seen. When I asked them to fill a plastic one, they would not unless it had the gubmint label on it. And growlers in FL are one full gallon - there are laws against the standard 1/2 gallon growler, so they only fill quart bombers (in glass) and gallon growlers (in glass), by law.

As for Beach Liquors having taps, thanks for the tip, when they first opened they did not have them and did not hint at them.

When visiting there within a few weeks of opening, they already had a very good selection of tequilas (and other liquors) and beer. Well worth stopping by in addition to CWW.
