L: Pours a cloudy orange with a large white tan head that dissipates rather quickly and doesn't leave much lacing on the glass.
S: Sweet malt, caramel and toffee, slight bit of grape and stone fruit. Not the most complex smelling barleywine.
T: Sweet malt, caramel and toffee, a bit of grape and stone fruit. Not the most complex barleywine but still nice.
F: Medium to big body, carbonation feels a bit high.
O: Not a world class barley wine but still pleasant

A little too boozy and whiskey forward for me. Kind of like a Jack and Coke including a thinner fizzier body than I'd expect out of a barleywine, without as much depth as an English bw should have.

750 ml bottle into a snifter.
Pours a nice looking, hazy orange. Medium head, some cling. Smell is malt first, with some grapes, yeast, a little bread, little bit of a wine aroma. Taste is again malt forward, figs, dates, grapes, some oak and a little vanilla. Smooth, solid body, maybe a bit too much carbonation.
Thought this was a pretty solid beer. Not overly complex, but a good representation of the style. The oak aging wasn't major, but it was noticeable. Worth a purchase.

Dark orange with golden highlights, thin cap of creamy foam. Some spotty lace around the edges.
Woody bourbon aroma, sticky sweet malt, sharp boozy note.
Taste is a little harsh, Jack Daniels level of whiskey quality. Woody, with chewy malt dominating, though it's a little thinned out and attenuated from the barrel aging. Slight vanilla and syrup aftertaste. Overall it was a good first effort that could use some finessing.

Served in a Tighthead Oktoberfest shaker pint glass.
A barleywine with what I believe to be a Napoleon reference. Right on. Anyway, this stuff pours a partly-opaque ruby-amber topped by a finger of cream-white foam. The nose comprises sweetbread, candied orange peel, mild wood, mild stonefruits, and caramel. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some mild greenery and white wine grapes as well. The body is a light hefty, with a light moderate carbonation and a thick-ish feel. Overall, a very solid barleywine. The oak doesn't do as much as you might expect, but it adds enough of a subtle character to help build out this otherwise pretty tasty beer.

Deep amber beauty of an English style barleywine. Bouquet is subtle, but has fruits, fresh baked bread, and slight hint of citric hops. The flavor leads w herbal tea, caramel, and figs. Bakery rolls and a pineapple note in the middle and a semi-dry finish reminiscent of white wine imparted by the oak. Stilton is recommended as a cheese pairing on the bottle, but this does very well w triple cream brie as well.
