On tap at Amerigo, Memphis.

A: A chocolate-y brown with half finger tan head that whittled away quickly. Thick lacing.

S: Roasty malts dominate with a nuttiness in hot pursuit.

T: Ah, laddies! 'tis a fine charred malty goodness we have here. Followed by a biscuity, nutty finish. So nice.

M: Medium with medium carbonation.

O: A tasty surprise from High Cotton. Would go great with a chocolate chip cookie or a good cigar.

Pretty good beer.
Nose is a fair amount of peat, with chocolate, and toasty bready malt.
Refreshing. Very slight peat. A bit of chocolate. Toasted malt. Caramel.

On Tap at Firebirds. Pours brown with off-white head. Aroma is of chocolate, toasted malt, dark fruit and herbal hops. Body is medium and smooth. Taste is sour, some toasted malt and dark fruit. Too sour for Scottish ale.

Nice caramel brown color
Pleasant Caramel maltly smell
Light mouthfeel
With a thinnish head that balances well with the overall toasted caramel flavors that even remind me of a good single malt scotch.
One of my recent favorites

A nice dark Amber, almost brown color. Smell is roasted malt, bread, and smoke. Taste is caramel, roasted malt, toffee, and a smokey finish. Mouthfeel is medium carbonation with a wet finish. Overall it's very true to style, and done well.
