The pour is hay colored with with a moderate amount of carbonation. The taste is 12 grain bread, white cracker, herbal, along with some soft hit of green bottle skunk. Overall, this is a splendid beer that would pair well with Italian cuisine. Cheers! B

Never ever heard of this before. It's blue, like the Italian football team. It says "Premium Italian Beer". Not a good sign.

Smooth small bubbles. Quite a pale colour. A little low on effervescence after pouring. Aroma is fairly undetectable. Reminds me of Peroni light which tasted like olives.

Taste is almost nothing. Now I know why Peroni is so famous. There is some bitterness in the background. I can't really taste the malt. Or much, except some very faint hops in the aftertaste.

I love Italy but this is not good. Mafia should buy it and add some more hopps. Ciao

Birra Italia 1906 has a thick, crackling, off-white head, a clear, bubbly, straw-gold appearance, and minimal glass lacing. The aroma is of cracker and grassy hops, and the flavor is similar, with measured sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium, and Birra Italia 1906 finishes crisp and refreshing.

Straw gold color with not much head to speak of. Smells of faint euro skunkiness. There is some flavor here but it is a fairly standard euro lager.

Castello Di Udine SpA "Birra Italia 1906"
66 cl. green glass bottle, dated "10.20.15", and sampled on 2 December 2015

Appearance: Crystal clear straw gold. Short head of bright white dissipates in less than a minute. Limited lacing.

Aroma: Limited grainy golden malt and grassy hops.

Flavor: The flavor follows the aroma: it's sweetly malty, balanced by a stiff bitterness, and mildly grassy and herbal. It finishes dry and short lingering.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light in body and gently fizzy.

Overall: Basic golden Euro lager.
