Could smell it before it even hit the table in front of me. Honestly one of the thickest brown ales I've ever had (I can't even imagine how amazing this would work as a stout). I'd say it's neck-and-neck with Terrapin's FT Wake n Bake for French Toast nirvana.

This is absolutely the best smelling, and spot on taste and smell I have ever had from any beer.

Good head production and OK retention. Ale is dark brown.

Maple leaps from the glass! Along with cinnamon and vanilla, it really does smell quite like French toast. It also smells dangerously sweet.

Flavor isn't quite as syrupy sweet as the nose implies (less syrupy than Wide Awake, for example), but it is still very sweet. Maple syrup and brown sugar swirl above caramel malt, spiced through with vanilla and cinnamon.

Fairly thin body, surprising for the ABV and the level of sweetness. Full bodied in taste, however. Beer is mildly warming on the back end, but there is otherwise no hint of alcohol.

This is a very good beer. Like many of FB's wild creations, it nails the impression it's going for quite well. Definitely too sweet to have too much on any given occasion, but a nice dessert beer.

Huge huge huge thanks to rudzud for one of my top 10 beers of all time easily.

Nice creamy darker colored 1/2 finger head, great fluffy lacing, pitch black beer.

Nose is just pure fresh roast, pure magic, cinnamon, nutmeg, little raisin even, little eggy, bread, bread crust, and tons of maple syrupy. Little butter, brown sugar, caramel malts, toasty brown malts, etc. I cannot stress how amazing this smells, def one of if not THE best beer I've ever smelled.

Taste brown sugar eggy raisin cinnamon nutmeg French toast, buttery, not Vermont maple syrupy like the aunt jemima stuff, so much cinnamon, bread, egg custard, little nutmeg, semi sweet candy malt, little brown sugar and caramel malts keep it in the beer realm. Finish adds a bit of bitterness and lots more French toast.

Mouth is med bod, Mild syrupy, nice carb, small hint of booze.

Overall... it's so much more than I expected, way beyond anything I could have thought in a beer, like a cinnamon raisin bread toasted and soaked overnight in egg wash with cinnamon and nutmeg, then drenched in buttery maple syrup. So so so friggen good. I wish I could just get an unlimited supply of this amazing beast!

Overall this beer just didn't do it for me. Very sweet artificial flavoring comes off one the nose and the palate. The body is incredibly thin, i mean zero substance. Overall its too sweet and lacks depth. The french toast flavor is to much, and doesn't meld well with the beer. I felt like my tasting experience was Sweet French Toast Crunch Cereal, followed by thin brown ale, as two distinct non harmonious flavors

Appearance: Arrives coffee colored (how appropriate) with a smallish head; some spots of lace.

Smell: Roasty, with brown bread, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisin and maple syrup

Taste: Brown bread and some roast, with brown sugar, raisin, cinnamon and nutmeg building; maple syrup and egg custard are hinted at through the middle; some bitterness in the finish though the predominate flavor is the French Toast

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Funky Buddha is the master of this type of beer; fun to contemplate and fun to drink

Split with JLindros and Threelions.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark brown with a light mocha head that left thin lacing.

S - Yah, this should be an 11. Aromas of maple syrup, eggy bread, melted butter, Cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar. Listen, this is french toast, end of story.

T - Taste is absurd. Glorious maple syrup, wonderful egg custard, vanilla, cinnamon raison toast, wonderful wonderful bread notes. The best french toast is nothing compared to this beer. This tastes just like that.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly boozy and syrupy. Very full.

O - Overall this beer was absurdly good, shocking how much flavor they get in this.

On tap at Mikkeller & Friends. Dark ruby-brown pour. Burnt caramel, cinnamon, vanilla, toasted coconut and tobacco. Excellent.

I have just started getting into Brown Ales so let's see how this beer goes down. The maple syrup is coming out really big & it's a good thing well at least it is for me. The alcohol is well hidden for a beer this big. I am detecting a little bit of cinnamon & vanilla sweetness but it's being overpowered by the maple syrup. The mouthfeel could also be a little thicker as well. It's a well made brown ale. I'm new to beers that have the maple syrup adjunct but I can tell you that I am a fan. Hopefully, I can find another bottle of this beer. This was not hard for me to drink, I finished the whole bomber in 1 hour. Funky Buddha has done it again! Cheers! A-

Pours a murky brown, not much lace or head, settles nicely, good color.

Aromas strong with maple, chocolate, and coffee, very similar to their Maple Bacon Coffee Porter or for you cereal lovers, that Eggo cereal that used to be on the shelves.

Cinnamon, vanilla, and maple flavors. As it warms, more of that toasty malt emerges, but overall the flavors are there and it drinks really smooth.

A tad thin, pretty heavy carb, but very smooth. Lightly sticky finish.
