Notes:
This version of our quaffable blonde ale is made with real pilsner malt and a touch of wheat to lend a beautiful golden blonde color that's easy on the eyes. We add vanilla and lemon to make it taste like the fluffy, namesake treat.

Reviewed from notes. Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a Cycle Brewing goblet.
A: Hazy dark yellow with some gold highlights. A good amount of visible carbonation, and a half-finger of white head that fades away quickly.
S: Lemon - like Lemon Pledge - with wheat grist, lactic acidity, and light cracker malts. A touch of sweet lactose lingers behind.
T: Tart lemons that retain some of the artificial flavors hinted at by the nose. Lactic tartness, sweet lactose and vanilla, and cracker malts. A bitter-sour lemon rind flavor in the hang.
M: Light body, average carbonation sensation, and minimal alcohol presence.
O: A relatively simple beer…certainly not complex. A very light body that stops just short of watery. The artificial character of the lemon ruins this for me, and those flavors don't mesh with the lactose and vanilla like the actual pie does. Not offensive, but falls in the "Try if you must and move on" category.

Pours out a golden straw color with a foamy head that retreats to a few wisps of foam. Actually smells and tastes like lemon meringue pie! Talk about your truth in advertising. Excellent mouthfeel with perfect carbonation. This beer 100% lives up to the label. If you don't like lemon meringue pie get something else; if you do expect to be amazed!

Pours a clear yellow golden color with white head. This beer actually smells like lemon meringue pie, lots of lemony citrus with a vanilla sweetness on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied. Finishes much of the same way.

I'm more than a bit underwhelmed. FB does so many exceptional beers, this disappoints, not in comparison, just as it is.
Typically golden color with a white head.
Smell is faint, overly subtle, nearly missing. Just a whiff of lemon & some grain.
Taste is just a basic golden/blond ale. Bit of malt, bit of grain. I wish there was more but, sorry, no.
Body is solidly medium.

22oz bottle poured into a pilsener glass
A- pours a bright clear straw color with a two-finger foamy white head that has great retention long after the pour, leaving some lacing behind
S- aroma is a nice mixture of lemon and vanilla cream, even some custard notes. Undertones of toasted malt even gives it a pie crust-like aroma to compliment the vanilla and cream
T- opens with flavors of lemon custard & vanilla cream, the lemon is just slightly tart, but mostly sweet, much like a lemon meringue. Mid-palate gives some toasted malt notes, with doughy crust notes. The finish gives more lemon and vanilla cream that lingers to wrap up the experience
M- medium-light body with moderate carbonation leads to a foamy mouthfeel that continues into a crisp, slightly sweet finish
O- another food flavored success from FB. Light, refreshing and super drinkable

Bomber poured into a glass - beer trade
aroma is definitely of lemon meringue pie, FB did a great job of recreating that fragrance
Tart, lemony flavor. definitely a lemon meringue taste
the question I ask myself is " why would you want a lemon meringue beer?"
Becuase you can or it's there?
Nice beer

22 oz bottle poured into snifter bottled on 5/19/16 I did not listen to the consume fresh on label or the glass it was meant to be poured in.
A: Bright yellow gold body with excellent clarity. Small white creamy head that disappears totally.
S: Lemons light sweetness some sour grains a light bit of bread
T: Wow its lots of lemon light sour then a crackery doughy almost like crust finish. Not a lot of sweetness but a little in the finish.
M: Medium bodied clings a little to the tongue drinks a bit bigger than it is.
O: This is pretty damn good at being what it says it is, the vanilla is so mellow its undiscernable that could be due with the age of the beer, but this beer works.
