Followed the bottle directions and poured into a wide mouth glass at 38F. Cloudy yellowish orange with a good persistent head. Smell is mostly citrus hops. The taste is grapefruit with a good malt finish. A bit low on the carbonation side but certainly adequate since the mouth feel was excellent. This is a very easy drinking IPA. Overall this is a pretty decent beer and being somewhat local to me makes it even better.

A clear gold color. There was a thick white head and abundant lace.
Mostly citrus aroma, a little pine. Strong sweet malt background.
Grapefruit and caramel competed with each other. Hint of pine.
Very malt forward beer.

Okay, so I drink a lot of IPA, but I'm not a consœur like many of you. I know what tates really hoppy. I know about lacing, etc. But I can't make out an apricot from a grapefruit (well, with a couple of exceptions). But I really like this beer. It's so smooth for a 7 point oh. I used to travel to Germany and drink a lot of Weissbeir. This really has a hint of that taste, with lots more hops (of course). Just drank a Stone Delicous, and this is SO much smoother and drinkable.

This beer is Florida's answer to west coast IPAs. It is hoppy with very fruity undertones. The pineapple and melon step through among the resinous and piney hops. This makes it a great IPA to drink on our hot humid days. The 7 % doesn't hurt either. Absolutely delicious. It has ranked in my top ten for sure.

Excited my wife brought me my first Funky Buddha beer from her vacation. Poured a clear orange gold with little head. Mild citrus pine smell. Taste follows suit. Nothing spectacular but not a bad brew, beats a souvenir t-shirt any day of the week!

My first Funky Buddha beer.Pours into a nonic a clear rich golden with a full one finger clingy slight off white head atop,a nice looking pour.I get some citrus oils and lingering resin in the nose,a bit of caramel malts as well.Quite a hefty bready malt bill for the an IPA,a midwest-style pizza dough quality to it,mildly sweet with a little crispness in the back end.I get citric hop notes with a dryer almost sharpness in the finish, almost lagerish on the palate if I may say so.This is interesting, not like hardly any IPA's I've had,big malts and spicy.

Appearance – The beer was a shiny copper in color with a nice, pure white head.

Smell – The light grain and citrus hops play well together.

Taste – Here the rind comes out a bit more but otherwise nicely balanced.

Mouthfee – This is medium-bodied with a dry character throughout.

Drinkability – A true session American IPA.

Notes from 7/2012

Pours a clear iced-tea color with a very creamy head that absolutely covers the glass in lacing. Has a nice balance of malt and hops. Initially, it seems very malty, but the hops really come on strong midway through and last through the finish. A lot of citrus, but some pine on the finish. Some slight caramel and biscuit malt. Medium creamy mouthfeel. Pretty nice over all, but a bit too much malt for me.

12 oz bottle, Bottled on dating (02/18/16) etched onto the bottle

Pours typical looking medium almond Amber, moderate lite khaki cap and leaving respectable long sheeting and then some blotchy lace on the glass.

Soft nose of pine and resins hops

Super smooth on the palate, gonna give high marks for the mouthfeel here.

Hoppedmup and pleasing IPA, nothing especially amazing, but well worth a try...

Pours a clear orange with two fingers of white head that lace the glass all the way down. Smell is citrus, bread, and a small amount of pine. The taste has more floral and pine than the smell with a pineapple flavor kicking in. The feel is medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. This is a decent IPA. I could easily drink this on a regular basis.

Copper penny color with a quarter inch of off white resting on top. Moderate lacing. Floral and tropical hops dominate the nose. I taste a blend of overripe pineapple, citrus, and grapefruit. There's a nice deep burn on the tongue from the hops. The mouth is surprisingly smooth and thirst quenching. I figured it would be a bit more sticky considering the strength and the aggressive hopping.

I'm tasting mango, navel orange, nectarine, cantaloupe, papaya. There is an ample amount of malts counteract the hop bite. This is a good east coast IPA. Cheers! B
