Luscious and silky smooth with a body to match, OP Porter is uncompromisingly rich yet surprisingly drinkable. A complex blend of dark malts and real milk sugar creates the bold flavors of dark roast coffee mingling with farm fresh cream. For the stout and porter lover in each of us, OP is a knockout.

Arrives superbly dark brown with a finger high light tan head. Retention is OK, lacing is scant and scattered.
Smell is toasted malt, cocoa, coffee and cardboard. Balance is good.
Target is more of the same, heavily toasted malts, coffee, cardboard and baking chocolate, I.e., bitter chocolate. A hint of caramel finishes it off.
Medium bodied, medium effervescence and a hint of warming late in the pint. Reasonably smooth. I'd have to sum it up as a good brew but a far shot from Last Snow.

I tried this beer at the brewery with HomeBrew as part of a five sample flight. It poured an opaque dark with thin off white ring head that did not leave much lace. The scent was very subtle with hints of roast. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet malt base with roast and nutmeg presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with subtle carbonation. Overall it is a decent beer.

Super dark brew; great head retention.
Nose is fairly subdued, but there's a lot of roast malt in there.
Robust and smooth on the palate; roasted malt and cream, with a touch of vanilla. Very easy to drink.
Really a fairly standard, but quite good, robust porter, with a touch of lactose giving it a fuller, creamier body.
