Notes:
Blood Orange IPA. We ceremoniously slaughtered heaps of crimson-fleshed “Moro” fruit to retrieve its delicious ichor, and then blended it with caramel malts and grapefruity hops.

I'm not digging this beer too much, this is really bitter for a blood orange IPA. This taste more like a grapefruit juice IPA to in my opinion. Cheers! B-

Bottle into a tumbler appears a hazy copper color with a white cap.
An orange aroma thats fruity citrus and backed by herbal hops.
Taste is bitter pith with fruity zest and juice like oranges/grapefruits.
This is medium in body with modest carbonation. Not a great ipa but not bad either.

On tap at Whole Foods in Orlando. Nice orange color, good head. Aroma is oranges, not bad. Flavor is oranges, malt, very good fruit flavor but there was this very sweet almost candy like flavor that came in which I did not care for. I'm on the fence on this one.

Had this in a bottle at the T-Tex Cafe in Disney Springs. The beer had a murky orange appearance with some hints of brown and a thin white head. Very ripe orange aromas filled the nose. Taste followed that nose by making a very well spiced, orange citrus flavoring. The mouthfeel to the beer was pretty well carbonated, making the beer pretty refreshing and crisp. Overall, really great aromas and taste.

A burnt amber color. Opaque with a moderate cream colored head.
It smells like an orange marmalade. Not much else going on aroma wise, but not bad. It smells geniune/fresh.
The flavor is still all orange. A nice combo of sweet and tart/sour. There is a littlle bit of a peppery bite to it and some piney hops cut through the juciy ornage in the middle.
Really easy to drink. Especially for as much as it is loaded with orange. Not a bad beer, but I probably wouldn't revisit it.

On draft at local stop.
L: nice orange hue, decent head. Rather pretty.
S: love the subtle blood orange scent over the big hoppy pale ale.
T: very well integrated orange. It balances out some of the bitter flavor traditionally associated with IPAs. Even if you hate the overwhelming taste of some IPAs, this is still worth a taste.
F: smoother finish than many an IPA... in fact it seems if your an IOS purist perhaps this isn't the beer for you, however as a general beer enjoyed, this has lots of unique and high quality characteristics that make it a worthy drink in my opinion.
O: very enjoyable fruity and flavorful beer that includes solid hops typical of good IPAs but also has a nice citrus loaded scent and a sweeter flavor that make it a solid choice in my opinion.
I love a lot of the things that Funky Buddha puts out there. Something about their philosophy works pretty well for me. This one shows some restraint on the sticky sweetness that I occasionally find in Funky Buddha beers. Well done guys!

Very similar to a sam adams erbel grapefruit ipa with more abv: 7.0%, and less sticky hop. I prefer a little less bitter. Maybe more dry hopping would be nice.

12 oz bottle, w/o freshness information that I can find.
Pours a nice warm near ruby shade of Amber, moderately cloudy and leaving just some minor fine sheeting..
Orange path on the nose.
Loaded with orange notes, some resiny hoppyness and a pleasing malty underbelly.
Well done, quite enjoyable and smoothly mellow stuff...Worthy

Pours a cloudy/hazy orangish color with off-white colored head. Citrus, oranges, lots of oranges, and some light pine on the nose; follows onto the palate. Medium bodied and nice mouthfeel. Finishes with more citrus and a light pine.

2017 version.
Poured from a 12 oz bottle, into a Funky Buddha snifter.
Soapy off white colored head that stands 1 finger tall, with light retention and heavy lacing. The head gives way to a creamy ring around the glass, and lots of creamy patching in the center. The body is a hazy, bright, light orange color with very low clarity and a heavy amount of sediment.Any light showing through the glass is completely distorted.Pretty heavy carbonation.
On the nose I get blood orange, orange creme, some sweet breaded malts, and a nice dose of piney hop notes. The orange definitely takes the lead.It almost smells like an orange creme liquor, only much more pleasant, and much less of an alcohol presence.Very nice aroma to this beer.
On the palate I get juicy citrus orange, blood orange, orange creme, and piney hops up front and in the middle. On the back end I get sweet bready, biscuit flavored malts, with some orange creme blended in.This is a pretty good tasting beer, nit as good as it smells, but good enough.
The mouth feel is heavy, sticky, and extremely viscous.Nice blast of oxidation on the tongue, with a smooth wet finish.
I can understand why an IPA purist,or a hop head may not like this beer, but luckily for me I am neither of those.I think this is a very nice beer.Sweet juicy characteristics on the nose and palate, thick chewy body, and a great look to it.Definitely the best Blood Orange IPA I have tried so far.Could use a little less bready malt flavors on the back end,but I am not going to nitpick.I would definitely drink this one again.

This delicious Blood Orange IPA tastes even better then it smells. A great summer IPA with bold and juicy blood orange flavors tied together with a little bitterness from the hops leaves the mouth very satisfied. An excellent IPA from Funky Buddha Brewery.
