Pours a dark black with a nice tan head. Has an aroma of coconut, vanilla, and chocolate. Tastes much like it smells with a nice addition of raspberry. Feels nice and thick, without being overpowering. Overall a great beer with a lot of interesting things going on. Would definitely drink again.

4 oz pour on tap

A: very dark body no light getting through this thing very little head

S: good bit of coconut and vanilla can't pick up any berries

T: coconut more of the berry taste I wouldn't have guessed it was raspberry though nice bit of sweetness

M: a touch creamy but again fairly watery I don't get why their beers are so thin

O: not a bad beer but not a lot of the stout shines through. Basically just a lot of coconut sweetness and berry flavor

Black as night, thick foamy tan head. Smell is heavy coconut, light raspberry, vanilla, chocolate, coffee. Taste is heavy coconut and vanilla with a light raspberry, chocolate and coffee. Raspberry is great, does not taste medicinal, very fresh.

Funky buddha dread pirate Roberts imperial stout
On tap at the Oakland Park brewery

IS with vanilla, cocoa, raspberries and coconut

Jet black, small light tan head. Aroma is as advertised; cocoa, raspberry and coconut. Great aroma. Taste is a bit of a let down as raspberry dominates. Some cocoa and roasty malt as well. Drinkability is good but not great. Overall, a good beer but considering the expectations I have for funky buddha a bit of a disappointment.

On tap at Churchville Inn.

Solid black pour with a firm tan head, good retention and lacing. Roasty malt aroma, dark chocolate and some berry sweetness. From the description, I guess I was expecting something along the lines of Last Snow with raspberries, but it wasn't quite that. This was still a good stout though, just basically a raspberry stout...and usually I find that fruited stouts generally don't work for me. Roasty dark malts and dark chocolate, coffee bitterness, followed by sweet raspberry, but also a something vegetal in there that reminded me of celery? There was really no coconut detected, but maybe the fruit overpowered it. Falls short of Last Snow, but then again most beers in the world do. Still good overall.

On tap
Very dark with a small head.
Hints of raspberry and coconut, chocolate.

I was sceptical at first and worried it's gonna be sweet. At first I was able to taste raspberry, but it immediately follows with a taste of roasted grains, dark chocolate, heavy and malty taste.

Loved it

On tap at the Lounge. Served in a snifter.

Appearance - Black with a small head. Lifeless after a while.

Smell - Coconut, chocolate, rapsberry. Pretty nice.

Taste - A little weird here. Much more raspberry. Kinda sweet. A little vegetal and not as much coconut.

Mouthfeel - A little boozy. Medium body. A little sweet too.

Overall - Not bad with that vegetal flavor worries me.
