This place has a fine selection of craft brews. They have 14 beer taps. The bottle selection focuses on German beer. The atmosphere is laid back and the service is good.

Stolpa's is a German themed bar located in downtown La Crosse, and boasts the cleanest tap lines in town. They have a great rotating selection of German beers, as well as a few domestic and local craft brews on taps that are cleaned twice weekly. They pour into steins, pints and liters, and have a club for local liter drinkers with incentives. Their bottle selection is small but has a good mix of German and domestic beers as well. Coupled with the extensive high end liquor selection, a humidor stocked with stogies, this is a great bar for people who care about the quality of their drink. They have a small menu, with a couple dozen kinds of brats, hand breaded schnitzel and a 3/4 pound pretzel to list a few items. The atmosphere is of course, German themed, an all wood interior, a moderate sized J shaped bar, picnic table beer hall seating, and a stage for music. My favorite feature may be the Beir Garten, picnic table seating, shaded by large umbrellas, and an open air stage. They have plenty of games available that go well with beer, Hammerschlagen and bags to name a few. This is a great place to spend warm summer afternoon drinking beers as big as your head.
