Pours a very dark red mahogany, even black currant with light tan head. Dotted lacing. Thought the aroma was a little syrupy sweet, golden grahams, French toast. Nothing off, but very brash. Flavor develops some richer malt flavor, hints of milk chocolate, grapes, blackberry jam. Once again, very sweet. A little bit of toast, mild carbonation and a semi-creamy feel. I haven't had many red lagers, but this beer is definitely it's own thing. Stout like flavor with a crisper lager body.

- medium golden-brown tap-to-pint glass pour. Faint, granulated foam. Faint toasty aroma. Flavors are a balance of toasty malts and and too toasty bits.
