Rockaway brewing company has a few very good beers and a good vibe. I stopped by the tap room near rockaway beach and they had a good selection of beers - mainly IPAs and pilsners, with a couple of other options like a stout or a cider. The best things I’d say they offer are the west coast IPA or the Pilsner, which is probably one of the best pilsner’s I’ve had (very unique and fruity). The rest of the beers are above average, but nothing crazy. It’s a chill outdoor vibe I’d say that is most appreciated by locals. If you stop by Rockaway Beach, I would highly recommend going to this brewery after for some lunch and a brew.

Small corner spot with little U-shaped bar that seats about 10 and some counter space on perimeter. Lively crowd and flea market food vendors across street. 16 beers on tap, the one I had was solid. Fast service.

I've been a local patron of Rockaway Brewing for three years now. It's been amazing to see this brewery grow and consistently release great beer, espexially at such a high rate. Do yourself a favor and check it out. There are always free tours happening and they encourage you to browse around the brewhouse (carefully of course). If you can order the High Plains Drifter, an amazing bottle conditioned Scottish ale, while you're there make sure to do so. Cheers!

Very cool spot to drink in, lots of great beer on tap and some specialty brews in bottles. ESB is great, had more of it at the Mets game afterwords and took advantage of the Kölsch being on tap. Fair amount of room to hang out and stand around. One of best breweries in NYC!

Lovely brewery with onsite serving area. Bartender cheerfully offered samples. Free chips available at the bar and around the seating area. After enjoying a few with friends, there was announcement that the brewer was giving a tour of the brewing area, which was informative and lovely. Apparently they have brewing nights Thursdays with tastings of the latest beer being kegged and where you can observe the brewing process. Prices were incredibly reasonable for NYC ($5 pints, $3 halfpints). The beer was great and the vibe is DIY. Only downside is that the homemade stools are not very comfortable so we stood while we drank. Small price to pay for a neighborhood treasure. I look forward to going back!
