32 Crowler courtesy of Gillagorilla, into a Chimay Chalice.

Let's get down to business. This juice is aight. Not like the rest of the DIPAs they produce. This is on the "Burnt end of the Spectrum". The appearance is deep and Copper Penny tone with a nice white soapy head. It's Outstanding but not really Earthshattering in its appearance.

The aroma brings that Burned Hop feel to it. Like Grilled Pineapple and burnt Laevender. It's Outstanding in its approach but not really setting a new standard. In mid nose there is notes of orange citrus but only mild. Not really reaching that itch for Hop Juice.

Da FLAVA? This first hits with grilled pineapple and mild orange citrus. Secondary hits with burned resinous hops. Enough sweetness to let you know it's 9% gravity. It isn't balanced but by a hair. This juice isn't the best but is higher than some. This finishes harsh with a mild sweet onion Herbalness with a deep Burnt Pineapple aftertaste. Mild bitterness with more Pineapple in the aftertaste. The feel is medium built with not so aggressive carbonation.

Overall: This is below Outstanding. Not bringing anything new to the palate but not a drain pour either. This would do well with the old school DIPA reviewers. I'm a part of that but this is too much of the "Caramelized Hop" touch. It's tasty if you like Burnt Hops. I do not and this suffers for some of the score, this brew is Worthy.

Thanks Bobby. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a semi-bronzed amber color with a decent transparency about it. Thin white foamy head quickly dissipated. The smell had the danky sweet onion over top of a nice sweet caramel backbone. The taste had the sweet danky onion up front. Caramel backbone was there - semi sweet, but lasting. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Wet sweet onion to sweet malty finish, different yet enjoyable. On the palate, this one sat about a medium in body with a nice sipping quality about it. Carbonation rides fairly low on this one. Bitterness shows a nice bite and yet the caramel malt wants to show a decent balance. Good, sticky, but not cloying. Overall, really nice DIPA, just all around, would I have this again, of course I would!
