16oz can into a Tulip, reviewed from notes.

Look: Pours an opaque golden-orange with a foamy white head that has great retention, leaving sheets of soapy lace down the side of the glass.
Smell: Tangerine/Mandarin/Orange, grapefruit, over-ripe melon and lighter notes of pineapple.
Taste: Follows the nose, a big punch of citrus and super-ripe tropicals, with an excellent earthy finish for balance.
Feel: Super soft medium body, persistent carbonation of tiny bubbles, dry/sticky/resinous finish.
Overall: Fantastic balance of big fruit flavors and an earthy dryness, amazingly soft mouthfeel. My new favorite beer from rar.

16 ounce can poured into a tumbler style pint glass.

L: Hazy, pale-gold, mostly opaque but showing light around the edges. Topped with one finger of dense white foam leaving sticky sheets of lace.

S: Grapefruit, citrus hops, some pineapple and pear, possibly Mosaic. No harsh alcohol.

T: Juicy, citrus fruit, moderate citrus pith and peel bitterness, light caramel malt sweetness, a bit tropical.

F: Soft medium weight body, almost pilowy, medium-high carbonation, short crisp finish.

O: Well done! Very tasty and drinkable.

Thanks Bobby. The appearance was a burnt semi-dark hazy orange color with a slim finger’s worth of white head that quickly dissipated. Stringy lacing occurs here and there in a messy sort of way. The smell started off with bittersweet pine, a light caramel malt base and then opened up into some citrus / grapefruit goodness. But even after further warming, the pineapple starts to come out, nice and sweet! The taste was basically the bittersweet bliss of the previously mentioned flavors wrapping together and bursting into a combined bittersweet lush citrus to tropical aftertaste. Finishes somewhat crisp but seems to bounce on my tongue with the harshness, good to great feel - honestly. Overall, damn good AIPA, that I would love to have again.

Tall can with a sticker...no freshness/canning date to be had

Typical NE IPA look...turbid, but with less of an impressive head/lacing then woulld be hoped for...

Orange infused sniff...nice

This is a deliciously fruity/juicy brew, moslty notes of oranges and ripe pineapple...so tasty...carbonation on point...well worth seeking out...fine stuff

32 oz crowler poured into tulip glass filled n 2/10

A: Soapy small white head that disappears quickly. Body is a murky Amber brown color.

S: cantaloupe, peaches, lemon, honey dew, a little pineapple.

T: Lots of pineapple, cantaloupe, peach, honey, lemon, a little bit pf a biscuit like malts on the end medium sweetness almost no bitterness.

M: Medium feel light carbonation clings a little to the tongue on the end.

O: This beer is big juicy fruity and has a nice medium body. It has miles of fruit a light malt backbone and really no trace of alcohol this is worth grabbing.

Perhaps old. There is just something about these RAR beers that doesn't resonate with me. An odd taste in the finish, a lack of clarity in the flavors - muddled.

Had this on firkin at Lures Bar & Grille in Crownsville, MD. One of the best IPA's I've ever had, if not the best. Dank, juicy, and delicious. I'll be going back for more of this tomorrow and I can't wait.

Can of indeterminate age gifted to me. Poured into Kane tulip glass.

L: Small head, poor retention, leaves little lacing and a thin ring. Beer is a hazy amber.

S: Muted citrus and tropical. Sweet malts more pronounced than should be.

T: Yeah, taste follows nose. The hops are still there, but fading. You definitely can pick out the Mosaic and Citra, but they're not as forward as they should be with a double dry-hop. Malts come forward too soon and assert themselves more than just to balance the bitterness. A little bit of alcohol.

F: Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Construction probably was quite decent as well as balance. Not a quick drinker.

O: Date your cans, breweries. Can't say it any clearer. If I get out to the Eastern Shore I'll give this another whirl and update.

Amazing smelling beer. Just like a bouquet of awesomeness and floral notes. Came in an oil can, not a growler. Nice hazy golden orange color. Head displayed pretty quick. Can't wait to get more.

Great IPA, nice hazy and fresh look, smell. On the track of Sip of Sunshine, which is my overall favorite. Had at the brewpub on draft last Sat. and now today from a Crowler. Very happy with how fresh and drinkable it remains.

16 oz can. Pours deep hazy orange, thin white head fades quickly, a little sticky lace. Aroma is full of dank ripe tropical fruit. Similar taste, ripe fruity hops, dank citrus, some grassy floral notes round it out. Medium to full creamy mouth. Very well done IPA.

Pours a deep golden hazy color. Aroma is earthy and musty hops. Flavor is really nice. Earthy dank hops up front with a ruby red grapefruit hop finish. Overall I'm really impressed with this.

Orange body with just a slight haze to it. Sticky, soapy bone-white head sits on top. Very juicy nose; tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, fresh grass. Flavor follows, juicy hops, big bitterness, lots of citrus. Feel is medium-high carbonation, with a slight prickle. Medium body with a lingering finish. Really nice and drinkable IPA with big flavor and tons of bitterness.

32 ounce Crowler into a Wine Glass courtesy of Gillagorilla (thank you beer homie)!

Let me get my reviewing shoes back to use and walk, I mean review this IPA. For staters this pours amazing for the IPA Style. She pours a nice Brassy Copper body with golden blonde hues. Nice soapy white head crowns her majesty! She's pretty looking fo

Let's get a smell for y'all! For starters this smells like straight Hops out the Sealed Bag! Citric and Meaty with an Earthy Hop Vine Dankness! The Mosaic Floral is so dense and the Citra make some serious Citrus love to your Nostrils! I want to smell this beer forever! In the background some notes of Crackers and clean Malts.

Flavah? The flavor comes through with some serious Citrus (Lime peel, Grapefruit and Tangerine sweetness). On the second wave is notes of Earthy Hop Vine and Dense Weed. Some Cut Grass in there too but just an Assault of Hop Oils! The malts act as a subtle Backbone with mild sweetness with a baked cracker grain edge. This finishes on time with a Dry-slight bitter bite. Aftertaste of Grapefruit and Tangerines with a slap of Hop Vine resin. (To get an idea of Hop Vine Flavor, just chew on a Few Hop Vines..) the feel is very light and watery with tight Carbonation.

Overall: This beer is Banging. It's a Hop Explosion no doubt about it. It grabs you and takes you for a Hop Oil Ride and you don't need to keep your Feet and Hands inside the cart neither! This is kinda Euphoric for me because I love some Raw Hop Flavor and Aroma and this Nails it. The Mouthfeel could be a bit more "fuller" but still with this much Hop-Gasms going on I only paid attention for the review. This brew is Outstanding and is Recommended to any Hop or Weed Head. The Hop Burps have notes of Dill in them as well...just thought I'd put that out there. One Word; Recommended!

Pungent, Juicy, Bitter, Bold

RaR is clearly going for that East Coast IPA juiciness here. Super juicy, hazed and heady, Hyde has ample bitterness but avoids being over the top. Zest and pith, pine and spruce, tobacco and tea come to mind. Pretty damn bold, even for a somewhat mid-range IPA, which simply enhances the drinkability for this hophead. A great use of Mosaic and Citra hops, too. While the IPA style is peaking, Hyde stands out from most, and I would love to see more hoppy creations from RaR.

64 oz growler poured into a snifter

A- A slightly hazy golden orange with a two finger white head.

S- Citrus, hints of grapefruit rinds, tropical fruits, slightly piney/dank, some caramel malts.

T- Grapefruit, citrus, some tropical fruits, bitter resin finish, some caramel malts.

M- Smooth, medium body.

O- A solid IPA, worth pick up if you get the chance. Would like to see this canned, citra and mosaic hops aren't super in your face.

Hyde. Small batch from RAR. Unfiltered and unfined. Brewed and double dry-hopped with Mosaic/Citra. 6.6%

On-tap at Smoke and Barrel, Washington DC.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, light orange with a nice white head that retains quite well, especially for how hoppy I believe this to be. This looks hop saturated.

Aroma: Wonderful aroma. Mosaic and Citra have proven to be a standout hop combination. Hits with bright citrus juice and zest, berry, and resiny pine.

Flavor: This is good stuff. Light and dry, but packed full of hop flavor. Hints of toast on the malt side helps bring huge hop flavors of citrus juice, tropical fruit, and resin.

Feel: Light bodied with huge flavor. Light to medium bitterness for the style with a long, sweet, juicy finish.

Overall: RAR knows IPAs.

Very nice APA/IPA. Mosaic hops apparent in the nose and taste. Lots of hop aroma and flavor with a good balanced bitterness. I prefer this to Nanticoke Nectar. Keep up the good work RAR!
