This brewery is rising quickly as one of the better breweries in Maryland. Between this brewery, Evolution and Burley Oak, the Eastern Shore is turning into a craft beer powerhouse.

One of my favorite things about moving near Cambridge. Cool leather furnished taproom with open air garage doors for the nice weather and big screen for games. Great adjoining wood furnished taproom with open air affect and lots of seating. And really cool attached RAR burger restaurant also serving beer. Great selection of so many RAR and guest beers, and a cooler to buy from for takeout. Unbelievable selection and quality.

Very cool location right downtown in heart of the "old city" district. Easy on street parking. Really appreciate the look and feel inside too; its urban/industrial/hipster if I had to label.
Quality - Their burgers are to die for. Definitely a top 3-5 burger I've ever had. If you've ever had the burger from Holeman & Finch in ATL this is kinda along the same lines. Their shoe-string fries are hand cut and killer too. Seasonal salad was solid too. I started this section with the food for a reason...their beer was good but didn't blow me away. Surprised that the their avg is above a 4. Guess its for their smoothie-sour beers. I ordered Pulp pale ale, Nanticoke IPA and Out of Order Doomsday (I think it was). Pulp was solid but not amazing, Nanti was very subtle and underwhelming, finally OoO was good but I now know I'm not a smoothie beer guy...way to slush-like and overly sweet with no sour notes at all even though its technically a sour(?!).
I rate my breweries on an easy scale...if I really dig my experience I purchase a sticker to add to my suitcase...and RAR did not receive a sticker purchase from me. We'll see about Burley Oak tomorrow.
In summation, I'd definitely be back for another burger if in the area...it's just that the beer would be an afterthought.

Right downtown in the heart of Cambridge (such as it is), its not a architecturally inspiring space but they've really gone to great pains to breathe life into it with a seemingly endless wealth of quirky decor. It was really crowded the day we were there as they were having can releases and their anniversary celebration, but service was still reasonably good, got to give them credit for being prepared for the crowd. The beer selection is exactly what you'd expect from their reputation and the beer is consistently excellent. Obviously a must if you are for some reason in the area and well worth going out of your way for even if you have to drive a bit.

I've been to RAR a couple of times on release days. They do a good job handling crowds and managing beer lines. The beer is always solid and while the taproom can get pretty loud when crowded, it's a friendly vibe.

Really cool taproom vibe. Service was very friendly and we managed to get a taste of the delicious Ice Cream Seas on draft. Aside from the odd bottles and cans of their Nanticoke Nectar IPA, they also do crowlers and growlers of the non-limited beers.

Cool spot in the heart of Cambridge. Basically an open room with 2 open garage doors to let in some fresh air. Bar up front with one big screen tv. Not all that kid friendly, but we made it work through a whole Ravens game with a 1 year old and a 6 year old. Staff was very friendly and the shuffleboard and foosball were cool touches. About 9 beers on tap with growlers and Crowlers to go and flights, half-pints and pints on site.

OK, on vacation with the the family.
Stopped by the brewery to get my stash.
Vibe:
With the the open air blowing in from where a wall should be (LOL..)
It's got that "blue collar", "stop by and have a few, vibe before you go home"
Orioles and Ravens on the TV's (it is Cambridge !)
Beer right there next to you fermenting . MMMMMMm fresh.
Even took a pic of the brewmaster. (I don't think her likes his pic taken)
Good menu, fresh beer.
Waking past the place...it's like you have to walk back and stop in, no matter what you are doing.
And that my review

I visited this brewery on my way to the beach, I had a flight and all the beer was good. I wish I could visit this again but it is a little out of my way on the way to the beach.

Picked up some oil cans on the way to the beach. Olil cans are much better then growlers. The place was quite in the middle of the day. So they were cool with me bringing in my kids. They are located on a pretty cool old town style street.

Dope ass spot to chill and drink some top quality brews. RAR is putting out fantastic ipa/dipa's right now. Hyde is world class, track it down and go out of your way to find it. Tasting room food is pretty damn tasty as well. Definitely worth the trip.
