Pours deep chestnut under a ½” tan foam collar that recedes rapidly. S: Cacao, some roast malts – not a huge aroma. T: the attack starts with grains, chocolaty rroasted malt, and some dark dried fruit. The mnalts are smooth with no harsh or burnt flavors and the added cacao works well with the roasted malt flavors. F: Very creamy with a medium body and carbonation. O: There is nothing big or challenging here but it is a very pleasant, easy to drink porter.

Appears dark black in color with a minimal tan head that settled to a thin cap. Not much for lacing is left down the glass. First impression of the aroma is the cacao. Forward but not overpowering. Balanced by the dark malt. No roasted malt is detected. Flavor is fairly balanced affair. Starts off with dark chocolate that is balanced by the dark, grainy malt. Has a bitter chocolate finish. Some hoppy bitterness also helps balance the beer. Medium body and nicely carbonated. I would not say it has an outstanding feel, but just solid. Lacks the creamy texture of the great porters. A very solid effort. One pint is enough for me although the flavor is balanced.

Enkie Cacao Porter has a very thick, beige head, a dark-brown (almost black) appearance, and moderate lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of cocoa powder, dark-roasted malt, dark coffee, and brown bread crust. The flavor is of sweet cream, semi-sweet chocolate, rich, dark-roasted malt, dark coffee, and mild bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, and Enkie Cacao Porter finishes somewhat dry and highly drinkable and smooth.

Dark chocolatey brown, opaque with a thin skien of foam. Fits of lacing coalesce as the glass is emptied. Smells of cacao with malt. Pretty straightforward. Taste is the semi bitter cacao chocolate lightly chalky, dark malt. No sweetness or fruit. No roasted elements. Mouthfeel is medium and dry with moderate carbonation. Seems fairly one or two dimensional, strongly semi sweet chocolate bitterness perhaps enhanced by hop, but I didn't get any distinct hop elements. Overall this one has the cacao namesake covered in the flavor profile.

This beer pours a dark brown nearly black color. The head is nonexistent, and there is no lacing. The aroma is of cacao with a mild astringency that is somewhat off putting. It is a pretty one dimensional aroma. I'm not getting any roasted malt, and would like to as it would probably balance out all that cacao. The taste has some of the roasted characteristics that the aroma lacks, but they are still dominated by the cacao. The astringency is gone though, and that is a plus. The mouthfeel is medium-light bodied with a thin watery texture. Carbonation is appropriate. Overall, this is a decent beer, but with so many better options out there I can't see myself drinking it again anytime soon.

Poured out a dark, dark brown color with a light brown head of foam. It smelled of coffee and dark chocolate. Good roasted coffee flavor with chocolate, toffee and some bitterness.
