Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear amber color with a one finger head of white colored foam. The head has a light level of retention, fading to leave a small amount of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is a mix of a lightly toasted bready smell combined with a harvest fruit aroma of pear. Along with these smells come some musty and grainy smells as well as a bit of caramel and hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a grainy lightly toasted bready flavor that has just a little bit of caramel sweetness. The light harvest fruit that was detected in the nose is also in the taste, with some pear. As the taste advances the caramel sweetness fades all while more graininess and some hay comes to the tongue. Toward the end of the taste profile, a light apple cider like taste greets the tongue, all while some mustiness joins as well. The caramel suddenly surges, and with the mix of flavors that is present at the end, one is left with a grainy malt, and moderately sweet taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly more chewy with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. For the big grainy malt mixed with the moderate sweetness and the style the feel is rather well done and makes for a nice easy drinker.
Overall- A decent Oktoberfest with a whole lot of grainy malt, a moderate amount of sweet, and almost no spice. Alright, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Beautiful golden color. Sweet fermented malty aroma. Flavor has a really nice slightly fermented almost like a sour ale combined with a lager. Very complex and interesting. Full body, no astringency. Excellent!
