This beer has a very limited distribution so I was fortunate enough to travel to Big Bend to taste it myself. Having resided in Germany for a year, this is a perfect example of a Hefeweizen, reminds me of summers in the beer garden. Haven't seen too many craft brewers trying a Hefeweizen and drinking one while watching a sunset over the desert mountains and then skygazing under a dome of a million stars was an excellent and unforgettable experience. I only wish Big Bend Brewing was available in San Antonio, but it gives me another excuse to go back.

Medium sized slightly off white head settles quickly to a quarter inch froth above a cloudy washed out pale straw golden colored beer.

Big lemony citrus aroma with a bit of clove and spices around the edges.

Light lemony citrus taste with just a touch of very light spices coming through.

A light almost dryish aftertaste without much of the tastes hanging around on this lighter bodied hefeweizen.

Very big nose gets lost in the taste leaving a very easy drinking beer, not sure if that's a good thing or not.
