BEER INFO

Brewed by:
Big Bend Brewing Co.
Texas, United States | website

Style: Czech Pilsener

Alcohol by volume (ABV): 4.70%

Availability: Year-round

Notes / Commercial Description:
Pilsner beer originated in Pilsen Czechoslovakia in 1842 and quickly spread throughout the world as the dominant lager style. Light straw to golden in color, Pilsner has a clean, crisp bitterness backed by a solid malt background. Brewed with 2-row Pilsner malt from America's heartland. The noble European hops give it a spicy, floral aroma. Pairs with most foods, from light seafood to spicy hot dishes.

Medium sized white dead dies into a thinning lacing above a clear bright golden colored beer.

Lighter lemony sour aroma with some of the lighter grain malts coming through.

Lighter lightly sourish pilsener taste with lighter grain malts coming through.

Drying aftertaste without much of the lighter beer tastes sticking around with this light bodied pils.

A lighter pilsener taste which isn't to bad considering I'm not to big on pilseners but I don't know how it's going to go over with the lovers of this style of beer.

pours straw yellow with a thin, but present white head. not nearly clear enough to be to style, lots of floaters. smells bready, biscut. malty, bready beer with some noble hop character.

very yeasty character. more like a hefeweizen than a pilsner

I first tried it and the can was so cold I couldn't hold on to it.It tasted week to me.So I usually let a new beer I'm trying sit a spell and warm up and the try it again.I was pleasantly surprised by the taste after it warmed up a bit.Nice beer I could drink at the bbq or at the lake.Prost!!!

Appearance:
Straw-golden color, clear. Lots of small bubbles streaming. Thick frothy head.

Aroma:
Sweet grass, grainy, bready, a little spicy hops.

Taste/Finish/Body:
Sweet grass, grainy, wheat bread, cracker. Hop bitterness is mild-medium, mostly spicy hops. Finish is semi-dry, crisp. Body is light, crisp, refreshing, well carbonated, highly drinkable.

Overall:
It's a very good pilsner beer.
