Pours a gorgeous golden orange with thick, heavy foam.

Smell is a bit yeasty with distinct notes of apple sauce and apricots.

Taste is very complex and layered, with apples and apple sauce carrying the brunt over a yeasty base. Ends on a soft, citrusy bitterness. Delicious!

Mouthfeel is medium, with very lively carbonation.

Overall, a spectacular saison, one of the best American versions I've had.

750 ml caged and corked bottle, no dating on it that I can find. Served in a Prairie Teku, the beer pours a hazy gold color with a couple inch frothy white head that stayed around for a very long time. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like earthy yeast, citrusy hops (citrus peel, grapefruit), apricot, and peppery spice. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of bready/grainy malt, bubblegum, and some green grapes. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's very well carbonated, but the soft carbonation helps make this easy to drink. I thought this was a good brew, and very similar to their Classic Saison that I also liked. If you like saisons, then you should definitely give this one a try. However, it's pricey at $14.99 a bottle. I'd still like to try more of their beers if I get the chance to.

Poured from a bottle marked NO-2 into the modified tulip glass.
L - Wonderful clarity, an auburn back drop sets the stage for a marauding column of carbonation to support its pure white king of froth. Queens lacing proves the point of endurance.
S - Squeezed lemon, on fresh straw, dark malts, crostini mushroom, all add to the base malts. Very little hop bite.
warm notes of fresh spring, mix with fruity esters reminiscent of fall.
T - Amber ale, mixes with Belgian yeast strains, esters abound, then crashing into a super dry finish. The floral element is autumnal and a bit refreshing.
F - Medium in body, super carbonation cleans up your breakfast, let alone this offering, Not delicate at all, a party crasher that wants dessert.
O - A wonderful experience, the big saison elements are in your face, the soft touch may develop with the brewers experience. This is a delightful expression of the craft. Not to be trifled with.
Cheers all

Pours into a large tulip glass a hazed/milky looking tangerine with a large blooming sticky white head atop that leaves one long curtain of lace as it settles into a frothy mass.Wet cork and funk upfront in the nose with some funky "cheese" notes to go along with some lemon oils.Bone dry on the palate with alot of toasted grain flavors, some spiced phenols and dry leafy/herbal hop notes in the finish. The nose was a slight turn off for me but the flavors, aromas, and feel made up for it,well made.

The tropical hops work impressively well with the spicy farmhouse character and toasty, nutty malts. I get peach and sweet grapefruit then a dry, earthy finish. This is a great saison.

750 mL bottle. Huge white head. Looks overcarbonated. Hazy orange. Smells of herbal hops, citrus, pilsner malt, and some light yeastiness. Tastes of creamy pilsner malts. Spicy and earthy hops. Melon. Yeasty finish. High carbonation. Lots of swirling solves that problem. Creamy mouthfeel. Excellent saison.

Opens with a resounding pop! Pours an effervescent honey color with 3 fingers of ivory colored head. good head retention & lacing

S: Grassyness & lemons, a whisper of phenols

T: A little honey dew melon, pears, lemons & grassiness up front. Golden Delicious Apples, white grapes & grassiness as this warms, plus dryness. Finishes fruity, with a little honey suckle & a kiss of lemon & grapefruit

MF: Medium body, lively carbonation

Drinks easy, this really came into it own as it warmed

This is amongst the fruitiest Saisons I've had and for me that's great. I got some oranges, lemon and tangerines with a bit of yeast funk and hints of clove.

Poured from the 1 pint 9.4oz bottle into a tulip glass.

Deep rocking forming head is the first thing I notice. Thick white, rocky retention and clumping white bubblebath like foam clings with easy controlled three fingers. Body color is slightly cloudy, a deep orange apricot color, good middle roaring column of carbonation coming up the middle. Has the appearance of some slight cloudiness, but a big aggressive controlled head, and glowing body with fire raging in the middle makes up for it consistently.

Mild tropical notes. Subtle. Airy. Hints at tangerine citrus notes with some very faint citrus oils, and a bit of sweet indistinct malt. Almost salty pickling brine character getting picked up, very unexpected. Comes out rather solid, great fruit aroma, not much Belgian character, some distractions, but overall very solid and inviting.

Palate comes up solidly, but also plays this pretty safely. Mid palate comes with a little hinting citrus, but stays down-tuned until the finish. Whaffing brett light and airy pepper classic heat, a bit whaffing on the finish, slowly building real nicely in taste and flavors on the swallow. Mouthfeel also manages to be a bit neutral but supportive in boosting the flavors. Slight carbon dioxide feel but also staying away from gaseous flavors as well.

A pretty solid lightly fruited saison, nothing extraordinary, but manages to some great tastes and not getting too out of control appearance wise.

Glowing, foggy orange hued body with a tall, foamy head that drops to a patchy covering. Smells like a blend of juicy hops and Belgian yeast...apricot jam, peppercorns, lime, and earth. Soft, fruity hop flavors blend beautifully with the yeast. Oranges, tangerines, kiwi, flowers, bubblegum, and yellow cake. Smooth and velvety feel, but light, finishing dry. A well-crafted Americanized saison - I've been very impressed with these guys.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. 2016 bottle that inexplicably showed up in our area just as summer, 2017 started. As soon as I loosened the cage, the cork hit the ceiling and the bottle gushered. I think I managed to save 2/3s of the bottle. Pours a hazy orange amber with a massive head that filled the glass, which I continued to fill as the head slowly dissipated, leaving light lacing. Aroma is nice, with saison yeast, grainy and lightly biscuity malt, light citrus hops. Flavor follows, with rich mixed grain and light biscuit malt, saison yeast, lemon and light orange citrus, melon, light pomaceous fruit with husky grain and grassy hops developing into a grainy, rustic finish. Medium bodied with light creaminess. The overactive foaming when opened did not seem to be from any problems with this saison, other than an apparent super high carbonation. The flavor is quite full with a pleasant mixture of grain, appropriately farmhouse style yeast and nice flavor development. Like other saisons I've had from Blackberry, this is exactly what I hope to get with this style of ale, a rustic, grainy and full flavored farmhouse style beer. Nicely done, if a little overactive.
