Notes: Years before the startup of the brewery the brewers of Eutropius started their own home brewery. The brand 'Oscar', first a beer with no name, was the first beer that was succesfull. In competitions between friends who also brewed at home Oscar was mostly considered the best beer.

Look: Opaque light brown, the color of dishwater. Two fingers of thick ivory head with excellent retention.

Smell: Banana, a light sourness, and yeast.

Taste: Sweet doughy malt with a bit of yeast flavor. Light citric sourness. Gentle bitterness at the end.

Mouthfeel: Full and chewy, with mild carbonation.

Overall: An unusual beer with a lot of sweetness and funk. It might be a bit too cloying for me.

Slightly hazy, bright golden body with generous white head and gobs of lacing.

Beautiful yeast flavors, rustic and aromatic, followed by spicy hops. Black pepper, sweet biscuits, and some spiciest I just can't put my finger on. Very good. This all plays out over medium high carbonation.

A great beer.

A: The beer is hazy pale yellow in color. It poured with a short white head that left lacing on the surface and the sides of the glass and a narrow collar around the edge.
S: Moderate aromas of Belgian yeast are present in the nose along with notes of spicy hops.
T: The taste follows the smell and starts out with lots of flavors of Belgian yeast and transitions to notes of spicy hops towards the finish (with nondescript malts in between).
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat dry on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The aromas and flavors of Belgian yeast and spicy hops really stand out in this beer.
