This a perfect summer beer. It pours a beautiful pink, light and fizzy into the glass with plenty of carbonation. Looks very similar to champagne. The smell is tart cherries, just delightful. The taste is way more complex than I would imaging for a gose. Its like drinking cherry pie champagne. Its sweet in and rich and tart all at the same time. The one thing that I would say it that there isn't much of a salt taste to be found. I had it next to Apricot Bu from De Garde and almost preferred this beer as it was less yeasty. Overall a great beer. Slam dunk from Modern Times.

Full bomber into a MT chalice glass. Really attractive bright pink with a moderate amount of haze. Sizzling head reaches a full two fingers, pretty substantial for a fruit beer. Okay retention.

I can easily pull out the cherry puree which gives some complexity to a style that usually does have much. Very doughy malt, some lacto-acidity and not much if any salinity.

Very doughy malt on the back end, some lemony flavors, cherry juice and lactic acid. The tartness is very muted and rounded off by the doughy malt, slightly chalky as well, perhaps that's the salt but I am reminded of Flinstone vitamins.

Full bodied gose, I think the added cherry and the appearance has something to do with that, doughy/flabby feel, decent carbonation and low tartness and salinity.

I was really pumped for this one and bought 4 bombers before tasting this, darn. Not quite up to the lofty standards set by Modern Times but hey, can't win em all. Everyone else here seems to enjoy it though.

L - Fruitlands pours a clear orange-ish amber with a pink hue. An aggressive pour yields two fingers of lightly pink, effervescent foam that gradually settles to a thick ring along the inside of the glass and a sparse film that sticks around. Nice retention on the drink down, but minimal lacing.

S - The aroma is evocative of a cherry Pop-Tart. Delightfully sweet and tart notes of cherry juice are met with a bready malt character and a pleasant saltiness. The cherry really comes through.

T - A crisp and clean tartness hits the palate first. Delicious cherry sweetness kicks in shortly afterwards, giving way to a mild saltiness and a sweet-ish bready malt base that wonderfully balances the salty and acidic flavors. Finishes very dry, with a tart zing along the back of the tongue and a light breadiness that lingers long after each sip.

F - Light in body with effervescent carbonation that feels perfect for the style.

O - With the recent explosion of popularity that the Gose style has experienced, I've had the pleasure
of trying many. This is the best I've had, thus far. The tartness is perfectly balanced with the salty and sweet elements; and this beer delivers a pronounced cherry character in both the aroma and the flavor. Absolutely fantastic.

Serving type: 22 oz into a shaker pint

Pours an appetizing ruby red. Smells of sour cherry, light bread notes, and ocean water if that makes sense. The smell is above average though what's there is good. The taste reflects the smell much better with tart cherry and light salty tastes, finishing with a medium sour taste. Very refreshing though I would prefer a bit more saltiness. Feel is light, slightly creamy, and moderate carbonation makes this bubble in the mouth. Overall, this is a very good beer with good cherry and salinity aspects.

Nice reddish pink color to this one.

Smells usual gose aroma with slight fruitiness

This is a great Gose w/ cherries, nice and tart and great refreshing drinker. If you like the Gose style, this is a must. It sticks to the Gose guns truly.

Over all, modern times is very impressive. Great beer

Pours a nice pink hue with a light, airy head that quickly dissipates. The smell is subtle but pleasant, with familiar gose characteristics, highlighted by the scent of sour cherries. The taste follows suit, with solid classic gose flavors, which are bolstered by a really nice infusion of tart cherries. Perhaps just a touch more salinity would have been welcome, but all in all this is a very solid gose and a delicious beer to close out the summer with.
