Enjoyed from a bomber obtained in a trade. Pours moderately thick and viscous, opaque, with a full finger of rocky head lining the top of a teku glass. I got a big burst of fudge in my nostrils immediately after pouring, before even raising the glass for a sniff. Closer inspection yields vanilla, stonefruit, and light tannins. The brandy is pronounced but of unclear provenance, pulling even with the chocolate-vanilla combo by the time I hit the mid-palate. Don't drink this cold; it opens up when closer to 55-60 degrees, displaying a lot of complexity and good barrel character. I've had several variations of the base Monsters' Park aged in different barrels without other additives; this one is not as mind-blowing as the original rum barrel-aged releases, but it's still a high note in an exceptional series.

Man, I wish I would have had a chance to try this when it was fresh, because it's a blast.

Had at share with a bunch of highly regarded and sought after beers and this was lowkey beer of the night. Tons of brandy barrel against the excellent MP base made for some great flavor combos.

Beer of the year for me so far. Enormous dark fruit character from the brandy barrel that integrates seamlessly into the base beer. This barrel amplifies the chocolate and combines with the light roast and coffee to give a marshmallow like character. Incredibly smooth, the high ABV is nowhere to be found, even less so than other barrel aged Monster's Park variants. Unlike anything I've had before, including other brandy barrel aged beer. Truly fantastic.

On draft in the tasting room for the release party. Thick dark brew with little lacing. Front end is fluffy with a hint of fruit, moving into a bit of sweetness from the barrel, and finishing smooth. Really well balanced, incredibly drinkable for the abv...

Pours motor oil thick, with minimal lacing.

Nose is sweet, with a nice brandy smell to it. Chocolate notes, nice coffee.

Taste is dark chocolate, coffee, with a hint of sweetness, spanish barrels add a hint of nice brandy but not overwhelming.

Feels like a thick beer. Brandy warms you up as you drink

OVerall fantastic beer, best Monster's Park Variant I've had
