This unmitigated juice-bomb is back and better than ever, having benefited from all we've learned in the realm of hazy IPA magic. Brewed with Citra, Amarillo, El Dorado, & Rakau hops before a liberal helping of guava & apricot, this thing is an absolute fruit party, and we couldn't be more psyched to re-create the beer that started it all.

Had semi-wanted to pick up a 4-pack of this, but I forgot the BPT date and time and apparently it was gone in practically minutes. It was Modern Times’ attempt at a New England juicy IPA. Not a huge fan of their IPAs, but this one sounded especially good. Expecting good things.
Poured a golden straw, cloudy color with 1-to-2 fingers of off-white head when I got it. Could not see any bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent layered spiderweb lacing. Average retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Juicy is right, smelling orange, grapefruit, tangerine, peach, apricot and guava. For hops getting Citra, El Dorado, dry-hopped Amarillo, and hints of Nelson and Southern Cross. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted juicy peach, apricot, orange, tangerine, guava, grapefruit, pineapple, Juicy Fruit gum, Amarillo, Citra, El Dorado and Southern Cross. Hops seemed to by dry-hopped. Follows the nose nicely. (Taste - 4.25)
Light body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Long, fruity finish. (Feel - 4.50)
A pretty damn good IPA. Would have this again in a heartbeat. Bummed I missed out on the can release. (Overall - 4.25)

Can at share. Hazy pour, orange golden, flat. Very light, fruity aroma, citrus. Taste brings smooth layered fruity flavors, citrus, light hoppiness, smooth.

Just back from a visit to Modern Times with taste buds stunned by cloudy fruit-crazed hop slurries. Somehow the Attack Frequency is more drinkable even though it's hazy and doped up with fruit itself. The bitterness is quite moderate. It seems to be more of the fruit acids to balance the malt and less hop bitters.
This tastes like pineapple with apricot nectar and injected with some flowery hops. Finally the bitter aftertaste comes on along with plum pits and the sour skins. You have to be in the mood for this but I would defy anyone to come up with a New England murk that tastes any better.
Poured from the 16 oz can fresh from the Fermentorium. The yellowish haze is capped by plenty of white foam in the big Duvel tulip. Smells like fermenting pineapple with that touch of funk and leaves peach on the lips.

Really hazy golden color with off-white head. Aroma is quite dank but also juicy with overripe peaches and some minty hops. Taste follows with the minty hops, grassy, really juicy but not in the fruity zone. Medium to light body with medium carbonation.

Hazy dingey yellowish orange with a minimal head once the pouring is over. Sweet candy orange blended with a little vegetal presence in the smell. Taste starts out more bitter than the smell, then turns a bit tart before everything evens out. Once I get settled in, the most dominant taste is straight up grapefruit, and nothing tastes sweet about this beer at all until a little cloying sweetness in the otherwise bitter aftertaste. Despite being able to describe this in particularly straight forward fashion, it's actually pretty complex with several layers or waves of taste.
