This absurdly tasty pale ale is the result of our collaboration with U.K. hop sorcerers Cloudwater Brew Co., and sports a wheat & pilsner malt bill alongside a delicious plethora of hops including Equinox, Southern Passion, Hallertau Blanc, Mosaic, and Simcoe. The result is an unstoppably juicy, tropical masterpiece with a big pillowy head and luxuriously silky mouthfeel.

Misc.: No canned on date; Collab with Cloudwater

Snuck over toe Modern Times to try a bunch of their beers. Originally had seven (out of 19) hazy beers and a churro imperial stout. However, there was only one hazy beer I hadn’t tried when I got there with a few tapping out and me having a bunch before. Knew this was a collab with Cloudwater and knew it had Centennial, Simcoe, Mosaic, Idaho 7, and Citra Cryo going in.

Poured a straw hazy color with two fingers of off-white frothy head. Light bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good spotty lacing. Decent retention. (Sight - 3.75)

Smelled lemon zest, lime, floral, tangerine, mango, orange juice, guava and Citra. Could not really recognize any other hops in the nose. (Smell - 4.00)

Tasted better than the smell. Got lime, Citra, spicy Simcoe, lemon, sugary tangerine, grapefruit, pulp orange juice, mango, Mosaic and pineapple. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, sugary, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)

This was kind of a rushed review, but it was an outstanding New England Style beer. (Overall - 4.00)

Cloudy light yellow with plenty of foam in the Troubadour tulip. Lime peel aroma. The mouthfeel is so acidic. Flavor is lemony. It finishes with the back of the throat murk. Quite bitter and intensely sharp. It's like lemonade gone wild.

It's interesting that on the label MT calls this an "India Pale Ale," though in emails they call it a "pale ale." I still say it's an IPA and exactly in the line of Spaceship Earth and the other clouded hoppy brews. From the 16 oz can purchased at Modern Times tasting room.

This one stands up to Treehouse and Trillium. Super juicy and tropical on all levels. Exotic tropical fruits - guava, mango, etc...
A little bitter finish and a super refreshing mouthfeel. One of the best MT beers I've had. These guys are bringing it top notch

Had a pint on tap at the Happy Valley Mellow Mushroom last night for the HH price of $2.75.

Beer was served a hazy golden orange with a nice white head.

Nose was wonderful, fresh squeezed juice. Very tough to top this!

Taste was fresh mango and orange juice with a touch of grapefruit rind on the back end to let you know this is a bitter ale.

Mouthfeel was light and very refreshing!

Overall, probably the surprise beer of the year for me. I believe this is the best one i have had from Modern Times to date!

Pours a very hazy yellow gold with a white head. Smells of grapefruit, tropical fruits, hops, and sweet malt. Tastes of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, orange zest, bitter hops, and sweet malt. Medium creamy body and medium carbonation. Overall an incredible NE IPA.

A: Lots of hops with aromas of tropical fruit and melon.

A: Bright yellow color, super hazy, with a very thin white head that quickly dissipates into the glass.

T: Hoppy with lots of dank citrus notes upfront, followed by moderately light tropical fruit, light pale malt presence with a moderately light hop bitterness.

M:Medium bodied with moderate carbonation, fairly fluffy and smooth mouth-feel.

O: Awesome; the beer has really great hop aroma and flavor and drinks very easily.

Dayum, poured on-tap a hazy, light yellow under a 1/2" thick white head which fades to the rim and leaves spotty lace. Aroma is dominated by orange citrus fruits, floral and herbal notes. Flavor is fruity citrus, juicy, with a touch of cracker malts. Semi-medium body and semi-moderate carbonation. Finishes mildly dry and bitter with a somewhat soft orangey finish. Easy drinking and refreshing. Cheers!

A good friend brought this home for me from his vacation in California. SO thankful he did! Can hold up with almost any IPA. There’s not too many out there better.
