Notes: Our 1st-ever hazy DIPA is a thunderous avalanche of hop-sorcery that’s going to crash into your taste buds like a 100-megaton payload of pure pleasure. Boatloads of Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic hops and fermentation with London III yeast came together to make this beer a tropical marvel, with outrageously tasty notes of passion fruit, tangerine, and stone fruit.

Was psyched to have this one and even came here just for that. Had high hopes once someone forwarded me the Instagram post and I saw, “Boatloads of Citra, Amarillo and Mosaic hops…” I was more excited about that than it being a hazy NE IPA, because I’m still not 100 percent into those.

Poured a straw-golden yellow hazy orange color with two fingers of frothy white head when I got it. Rather serene setting underneath with not bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Excellent uneven foamy lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)

First sniff was a 50/50 mix of hops and orange juice. No hiding the hops in Citra, sharp Amarillo and dry Mosaic. Also orange blossom, orange creamscicle, tangerine peel, hints of tropical (kind of a mango/passion fruit hybrid). (Smell - 4.25)

Taste was flat out orange juice to start, ending with a bitter alcohol bite. Reminded me somewhat of a screwdriver to an extent. For hops I got Amarillo and Citra for the most part with that dry Mosaic coming in late. Even a bit of Centennial in there. Also bitter citrus rind finish, more orange than tangerine. Could taste the pulp. Still got the tropical notes as well in bitter mango and stone fruit. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Juicy boozy finish. (Feel - 4.00)

Better than I hoped overall, but still very similar to most hazy NE IPAs. (Overall - 4.25)

I am a little high on this rating but I love this beer. Being a big fan of Citra and Mosaic this thing delivers. There is the expected aromas of orange, grapefruit and pine. The taste is tons of citrus fruits with a nice sweetness that is balanced out by the grapefruit and pine bitterness at the end. This beer is silky smooth with a nice creamy mouthfeel and good carbonation. Really great beer.

Taster at bottle share. Stellar NEIPA. Smooth and juicy, perfect blend of tropical and citrus. Good to see MT jump into the hazy game and show their stuff.

Deeply embedded with the sexiest hops on the planet and with the soul of citrus and cake, the west coast Modern Times brewers dip their whole foot in the north east world of the haze craze.

Dinosaur World pours and extra pulpy golden and orange hue. Nearly viscous in its visual weight, the beer's patient separation of foam from fluid casts a balmy citrusy fragrance on the session. Radiant citrus, juicy tropical and an herbal medley is both mouth watering and jaw tightening with a mere pass of the nose. Fruity sweetness splashes the tongue with hawaiian punch, creamsicle and citrus meringue.

As its cakey sweetness dissolves on the tongue, the brightness of fruit charges in. Branch ripe tangerine link up with red grapefruit, lemon and lime for a tantalizing tanginess and succulence. Rich tropical fruits of passionfruit, pineapple and mango bring a juicy and exotic fruit complexity to the middle palate, and with a quick followup of apricot, peach and pluot. A fine grassy, hemp-like herbal bitterness rounds the finish for a smooth and clean bitterness.

Medium bodied and trending dry, tight and bitter, the beer's fruit flavors extend into an aftertaste of citrus and tropical fruit rinds with a grassy, sprucy after current. Hints of pepper and alcohol spice shows in a curacao liquor finish and a long herbal aftertaste.

When I was a kid, there was a brand of "juice beverage" sold at supermarkets in Canada called Beep. It was juicy, sweet and delicious. Dinosaur World reminds me of Beep. This hazy IPA is an amazing example of this increasingly popular style. Goes down far too easy for a double IPA. This style is appealing even to people who don't like beer and might not ordinarily come near an IPA.

Draught pour at Davis Beer Shoppe into a goblet. Pours murky copper orange with a finger of white medium density head with limited retention and left ringed lacing. Nose is uber tropical, lots of mango, papaya and passionfruit. Taste brings more citrus and less tropical aspects. Finishes with lots of drying astringency. Medium body with moderate carbonation, very noticeable slightly chalky feel. It's a good beer, but I'd much rather have Blam Blam to this one.
