Slight haze on the dark yellow brew in the tall Rodenbach goblet with a nice pile of foam. The aroma is quite distinctly fruit at first sip. Then it's grapefruit and orange blossoms and totally delirious. I had a glass at cool room temp which seems to accentuate the aromatics.

This has such a persistent grapefruit juice taste, but a little watery like fresh squeezed from the fruit. Quite unique in my experience. There's a slight bitterness in the aftertaste, just like after that gulp of grapefruit juice. My second glass is from the fridge and the fruit taste is more pronounced. These New Zealand hops are just delicious (Motueka, Riwaka, and NZ experimental varieties). Fine-grained persistent foam From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Trader Joes.

650 mL bottle. Hazy pale orange. Smells of soft citrus, orange, wheat, bright tangerine, and grape. Tastes of orange, tangerine, and grape. Garlic bite behind it. Wheat. Light grainy malt. Medium light body. Crushable and delicious.

Poured into a pint glass, golden yellow with a light haze. Nice lacing left behind by the white foamy head which settled to a thin head throughout the session. Aromas and flavors are citrus, tropical fruit, and a lot of floral character which I love: tons of orange blossoms alongside sweet pineapple and juicy stone fruits. The description on the bottle says "pillowy" and the mouthfeel is quite nice. The beer rests gently on the tongue and doesn't assault with hip bitterness. Overall, another excellent beer from Modern Times.

As crazy as it sounds, I think this was the first time I saw this in a store in California. I had seen it once before in Henderson, Nev., but don’t think I’d seen it in San Diego. Had to get it as I have every monthly beer they release. Not sure what to think heading in reading that’s it’s soft and pillowy.

Poured a light yellow cloudy color with three fingers of rocky white head. Calm underneath with just a few noticeable bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Excellent layered spiderweb lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled mostly tropical notes from the jump. Got stone fruit, sugary peach, dank resin, New Zealand hops, floral, orange blossom, a touch of white grapefruit, papaya and hints of guava. Toward the end reminded me more of those sugary IPAs from The Alchemist and the like. (Smell - 4.00)

Taste followed the nose for the most part. This was good. Still those sugary fruit notes dominating. Not as dank as the smell. Got stone fruit, papaya, sugary peach, citrus pulp, New Zealand hops, mango, orange blossom, white grapefruit, resin, pineapple and hints of spices. Hard to believe that this isn’t an IPA. (Taste - 4.25)

Light-to-medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt tropical finish. (Feel - 4.25)

For a pale ale this was awesome. Pleasantly surprised. (Overall - 4.25)

22 oz bottle poured into Willybecher glass bottled sometime in Feb.

A: Straw, light gold body small soapy white head amazing clarity.

S: papaya, grapefruit, some pineapple a little herbal and a little floral

T: Light papaya, pineapple, very little bitterness, some very light Crackery malts.

M: Medium bided with decent carbonation with just a little mouth cling.

O: This is a pretty solid pale ale lots of happiness in this guy and fairly easy drinking. Is it anything astonishing? No, but it is well done.

Pours a nice hazy golden, thick billowing white head that leaves massive lacing. Aroma is a HUGE blast of dank New Zealand hops...definitely pungent and enjoyable. Reminds me of O.G. Stone Enjoy By aroma. Taste is smooth, nice bitterness up front with a light amount on the back. Smooth throughout. Ah Modern Times, how you are awe inspiring. Wish there were 6 packs of this.

A pleasant looking pour, moderately hazy, deep gold, really nice layer of foam that persists throughout the glass. Smell is similarly pleasant, balancing floral-sweet citrus, almost orange blossomy, alongside a lightly herbal undercurrent. It's not huge, but it's well put together. On the palate, things fall apart a bit, exacerbated by a somewhat watery body. Maybe I was extra sensitive to it, with the label's promise of something "pillowy", but the toned down flavor, in concert with the watery body, proved an underwhelming combo. The fruit flavors gave way to a more green/grassy flavor, light and one-dimensional. Overall, kind of a letdown.

This beer is the best I have had thus far from MT. San Diego seems to keep producing phenomenal beers, and this is another example. Pale, straw colored orange, with a creamy head with superb retention and sheet lacing. Dank, ripe fruit and citrus in the aroma, as well as butterscotch. The flavor is juicy and bright- tangerine, mango, passion fruit and caramel malt. Hints of grass and herbs, grapefruit and melon. A very well balanced beer, so drinkable and full of flavor. Excellent.

Poured from 22oz into Bell's Oberon Pint Glass. Bottled on February 24th 2017.

L: Hazy pale yellow, nice finger width fluffy off-white head. Retains well, lacing is good as well.

S: Lots of tropical notes here with stone fruit, some dank pine, floral and herbal notes as well. Oranges, guava, peach. Pleasant.

T: Follows the nose closely only divergence is there is less pine and more sweet fruit. Very tasty.

F: Light-Medium, good carbonation, semi-dry.

O: A pretty delicious Pale Ale. I love trying beer with experimental hop varieties. Not the greatest beer I have had but certainly one I would recommend to most anyone.

T - again big peach, papaya, orange zest, grapefruit, pummelo, melon, pineapple juice, hop zest, dank, garlic onion, ganja, definite hop bite (no shit right?)
M - light to medium mouthfeel, alc covered, aftertaste is orange zest, grapefruit, peach
