Poured on tap black under a 1/2" thick tan head which faded to the rim leaving clingy, splotchy lace. Aroma is roast, noticeable tequila coming thru, bourbon, some charred aged-wood. Well blended and complex flavors mainly follows the nose with boozy raisins/dark fruits, caramel, and faint "old books". Full body and light carbonation. Rich, boozy, roasty bourbon finish is "super".

Saw this on a Modern Times tweet the night before and I instantly knew I wanted to try it. The tweet read, “ NOW POURING: Monsters’ Park Super Cuvee. The majestic blend of 4 barrel-aged MP (Monsters’ Park), DT (Devil’s Teeth) and Haunted Stars variants is on draft now at Lomaland.” Description at the brewery read, “A super blend of Tequila Monsters’ Park, BBA Monsters’ Park, BBA Devil’s Teeth, and rye barrel-aged Haunted Stars conditioned on bourbon barrel cacao nibs.” Hot damn that sounded amazing. So amazing that I ditched my rule of six-ounce minimum to review a beer and went with five ounces.
Poured an almost pitch black with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki tan frothy head. No bubbles that I could see. Excellent uneven spiderweb lacing. Good retention. (Sight - 3.75)
Smelled a big whiff of menthol, herbal and pecan up front. Also smooth bourbon, walnut, toffee, plums, dark fruits, cocoa powder, spicy tequila, vanilla, rye spice, chocolate syrup, caramel and espresso. (Smell - 4.25)
The taste was phenomenal, kind of reminding me of the Bruery/Three Floyd’s collab Rue D’Floyd minus the cherries. Specifically got vanilla, coffee, smooth bourbon, smoked oak, toffee, cocoa powder, chocolate syrup, spicy rye, caramel, pecan, walnut, plum, dark fruits and lingering mild tequila spices. (Taste - 4.50)
Full body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth, warming finish (Feel - 5.00)
Just a world-class mix of imperial stouts, an imperial porter and an old ale. Awesome. (Overall - 4.50)
